Fifteen radical left State Attorneys General from across the nation sent a letter on Tuesday, asking the Biden Regime’s Office of Gun Violence Prevention to ban private citizens from purchasing 5.56-millimeter rounds manufactured at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant.
Instead, they want these rounds to be reserved only for the military. They must have forgotten the Founding Fathers’ intent with the Second Amendment.
New York Attorney General Letitia James, who is currently suing the NRA, ran for office on taking on the NRA and slammed the group as a “terrorist organization,” is leading this effort. Back in March 2022, a Manhattan judge blocked Letitia James’ failed attempt to shut down the National Rifle Association (NRA).
The letter states, “We ask your Office to investigate the contracting and manufacturing practices that led to so many billions of military-grade rounds being sold into our communities, and to issue a public report with recommendations about how to end the diversion of military ammunition into civilian hands. In the long term, we ask the White House to ensure that future production contracts prohibit the sale of military weapons and ammunition to civilians.”
Meanwhile, Democrats across the nation are complicit in the invasion at our southern border, where over 11 million illegals, who are mainly military-age males and include many known or suspected terrorists, have invaded the US on their open border invitation.
Do you think these people are going to follow our gun laws when they come to a neighborhood near you?

“ They must have forgotten the Founding Fathers’ intent with the Second Amendment.”
No they didn’t forget it. This is evidence that they’re keenly aware of it. Tyrants always disarm their citizens if the can.
None of that "military grade" stuff is hollow points as per the Geneva Convention, if I remember, nothing that fragments.
So, from now on, only hollow points and other fragmenting "civilian ammo" to keep these dolts happy.
Make some real wounds.
Not to worry, plenty of very good Russian Wolf Gold everywhere
Brass case, boxer primed, non-magnetic bullet, range safe
$500 per 1000, free shipping to your door, USA!
Yes, please ban 55 grain full metal jacketed 5.56 rounds from civilian use, but continue to allow them to use 77 grain jacketed hollow point .223 hunting ammunition, because it’s so much safer...
They fear us.
This is as it should be.
But still, LoL!
Let’s create a thriving black market for ammo that, based on the miserable failure with fentanyl and illegal migrants, NO ONE in the Gubmint will be able to trace.
Are they talking about RPGs and such?
Well musket balls were once considered military grade.
Make some real wounds.
Except in New Jersey, of course, where hollow points are prohibited.
Exactly my thought.
It's all fairly simple: The contractor is obligated to manufacture a certain amount of ammunition for DOD and other government customers. Any additional production, the contractor may sell to citizens as the contractor sees fit. There's no "diversion" and nothing sneaky or underhanded about it.
As usual, the tyrant leftists are LYING.
No. My reloads are tighter tolerances and higher quality than "military grade".
Lake City produces primarily 5.56mm NATO and 9mm NATO ammunition. It’s top quality stuff, as anyone who actually shoots it knows.
We said this would happen back when they stopped selling Lake City seconds to the Civvy market.
Mil-Surp ammo always been only good for bulk ammo “plinking” and practice. Never for hunting or competition shooting.
Or for restoring the Tree of Liberty for that matter...
It’s consistent, but “top quality”? LOL... no.
And they will continue to lie as it gets them what they want. There are no real repercussions for their actions.
Well, they mean any ammunition that goes into black evil looking weapons with pistol grips. Those semi-automatic machine guns.
Stuff produced by low bidders to MilSpec. It's a standard well below match-grade for CIVILIAN competition.
