Poll: Majority of Californians reject gender ideology, despite push by state Democrats

While Democrats push for the erasure of biological reality in California, Californians are increasingly rejecting the gender ideology and its outcomes, a November poll found.

Deseret News reported on the results of the poll Wednesday, noting that lawmakers’ embrace of transgenderism appears to be wildly out of step with what Californians actually believe. For several years, Democrats in the state have led the charge: in 2019, they passed the Gender Recognition Act, which allows individuals to change their sex on government documentation. Another law, SB107, turned California into a “sanctuary state” for transgender youth who are fleeing other states to pursue sex-change hormones and procedures.

“Under California law, shelters are to admit individuals on the basis of gender identity and not sex, and ditto for any other facilities, such as gyms or spas or restrooms, that are single-sex: single-sex means single-gender in California,” according to the report. “Furthermore, no documentation of gender identity, such as a driver’s license, is necessary; only an assertion of gender is required.”

Another California law allows men who identify as women to be housed in women’s prisons, and employer-provided health plans in the state must cover transgender-related procedures.

“There are many other trans-related laws that could be mentioned that California has passed — more than any other state — making the state stand out in this area,” the report notes. “And some municipalities in California have even gone further. San Francisco offers a $1,200 per month guaranteed income to trans individuals for 18 months and provides housing subsidies for them as well...

Because unlike “conservatives”, Progressive and the Woke have figured out that popular opinion doesn’t matter. Only elite opinion matters. They control all the institutions and have total control over the propaganda.

So it doesn’t matter what people think of gay marriage, trans, LGBT etc.

After 20+ years of every institution blaring out the same propaganda, people will believe what the elites want them to believe. It happened with abortion, it happened with gay marriage, and it will happen with LGBT and trans.

Last time I looked about a year ago, CA had more registered Republicans than did the least populous 26 states combined.

Mostly the Hispanics and the Blacks in California. But they're not educated enough or the better term, they're brainwashed into voting for the Democrats.

The Republicans need to go after the Hispanics in California. It's working in Florida and Texas. So why not in California?

True but sadly swamped in CA by "minority block voters" -it is the “block voting of people of color” that drives the Dem vote and state control of a state that once elected Ronald Reagan as gov. Dems knew if they could get enough illegal alliens in they could control the vote so CA is a state where “people of color”, are now about 60-65% and block vote for Dems-same as nationwide , Blacks vote 90%+ Dem, Hispanics 70/30 Dem, Asians now 75/25% Dem- that is what drives the Dem vote in CA and most blue states Just look at the states won by Trump in 2016,he won 32 states but only 4 have a population of Hispanic voters over 13%. Clinton by contrast won 28 states and only 5 had a Hispanic population of under 13%.
