If nothing else what drives me to rage is the studied indifference of the board members during public comment. They flat don’t give a tinker’s damn what the people think. They view them with utter and total disdain. As if the people are mere worms. They are worms in their minds.

This is an ongoing problem on all public lands—close the roads, block the access WITHOUT asking the people who actually use the roads and enjoy the recreational access.

Those vile forests should be chopped down and the timber buried deeply to prevent the carbon from ever again threatening human life and climate change.

Of course, the forests are not “government” owned, but rather “public” owned.

I know you have been studying this for a long time now. The questions remain the same. Is the policy being proposed similar to policies implemented in the past? If past policies have caused catastrophic wildlife barbeques and long term damage to the forests, what guarantees can another similar policy have to avert catastrophic damage? What is their goal here, to keep humans out, or let the conditions develop which will cause another holocaust to helpless forest creatures? What harms the creatures more, healthy forests, or firestorms cause by managerial neglect?
Something to consider for the long term: If the left gets its way and shuts down the forest, can a poison pill agreement be inserted? Let's say the policy is implemented and the usual expected firestorm results. Then, by negotiated agreement, the left will agree to let forest management policies be implemented like removal of dead trees, roads to act as fire breaks and for facilitating fire fighting equipment to fight the fires. If they cannot guarantee that anything different will happen, then try to pin them down to an agreement which is more sensible.

Their goal is to destroy the lumber industry, nothing else. The could not care less about the Owl or the forests, it is all about their Communist utopia.
The willful dupes are Virtue Signaling which gives them a moral high in their otherwise empty lives. Everyone worships around the pole of Climate Change.

I will watch the video later. Promise.
If you have a person skilled in asking questions, it would be highly revealing if you can get someone on the left to admit that the goal is not save the forest, but to utterly destroy it.

There is only one thing causing the huge wildfires. I live 1/4 mile from BLM land in two directions, and in a valley that is surrounded by a gazillion acres of BLM forests.
The BLM REFUSES to clean out the slash, undergrowth and other fuels that are the cause of huge wildfires. When they sell timber to logging companies, the BLM does not require them to clean out the slash.
It is that simple.
