Missouri GOP Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer on Thursday announced his retirement from Congress at the end of his current term, marking the latest such declaration from the Republican conference ahead of the 2024 midterm contests.
Luetkemeyer currently represents Missouri's 3rd District, which includes a central portion of the state mostly to the West of St. Louis and is decidedly Republican-leaning.
"It has been an honor to serve the great people of the Third Congressional District and State of Missouri these past several years. However, after a lot of thoughtful discussion with my family, I have decided to not file for re-election and retire at the end of my term in December," he said in a statement posted to X. "As we tackle the many challenges we face, I hope we remember what someone once said, that 'the greatness of our country is not found in the halls of Congress but in the hearts and homes of our people.'"

Blaine Luetkemeyer is one of the biggest phonies in Congress and as far from conservative as one can be.
I lived in his district until it was gerrymandered to give more Repuke support to that other phony tool, Ann Wagner (her core district, the outlying St Louis suburbs to the south and west, are rapidly turning blue as the scumbag liberals from the city start occupying formerly friendly territory).
The problem is the Missouri Republican party. They are all RINOs and globalist. I expect his replacement will be just as bad if not worse. MO may look red on the maps but it’s Demo-crap roots run real deep.
Has anyone been doing a scorecard of RINO’s leaving Congress and the potential for MAGA candidates to replace them?
I don't think 2024 is midterm.
After Trump was elected Paul Ryan and 7-8 other RINOs announced not only retiring but also refusing to help Trump pass any legislation during their final terms.
