In a year-end speech to the Ukrainian people, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky promised an increase in domestically produced weapons in the coming year for the country’s war against Russia.

“And next year, the enemy will feel the wrath of domestic production,” Zelensky said in the speech Sunday. “Our weapons, our equipment, artillery, our shells, our drones, our naval ‘greetings’ to the enemy and at least a million Ukrainian FPV drones.”

It’s over, Jim. There aren’t enough Ukies or 155mm shells left.

Ukraine inherited the ability to make weapons since it was part of the Soviet Union.

I just read an article where he said Ukrainians should expect to work or to fight.

Ukraine can buy materials using the dollars Congress gave it.

“front”

There is a serious problem in the NE of Ukraine.

I suspect second-rate troops were guarding the front.

Russian had a similar problem in the NE and had to give up a lot of territory it took early in the war.

Ukraine lost a lot of first-rate fighters in its 2023 offensives.

Russia has enough shells to pulverize entire areas.

Ukraine should use shells only on obvious targets.

What has Ukraine been doing for all this time? Sponging off the West.

Ukraine is using shells much faster than we can produce them. Governments the world over are scouring their stocks to free up 155mm for Ukraine (and to a lesser extent Israel).

Eventually, the West runs out. Sooner, is my prediction.

Russia has enough - edit: North Korean - shells to pulverize entire areas. If only they had the tubes to fire them and the counter battery radars to protect the tubes.

Yup.
The plan had been to kick off war with Russia back under Obama over Syria.
Public outcry was enough to tell Skippy the Echolocating Wonderbat that it wasn’t a good idea.
Enter Hillary and the 2016 election, her rhetoric of war with Russia throughout the election was out of control.
We were supposed to be under Madame Hillary come January 2017 and the war was supposed to begin.
The 2014 Maidan coupe was Brak and Victoria Nuland, was supposed to give us a close location to step off into the war from.

The topic is hardware.

But the reality is, the number of fertile humans is finite, and that’s a whole bunch of babies that won’t exist in the economy in 30 years.
