Israel had decided to expand its military responses to Hezbollah aggression on the Northern front after Iran was seen to expedite weapons delivery to the Lebanese terror group ahead of a possible full-blown war with Israel.
Attacks attributed to the IDF, targeted the Syria-Iraq border area at Al-Bukamal, a supply rout for weapons transported from Iran, resulting in some 19 non-Syrians killed.
Hezbollah said four of its members were killed but did not say where and when, although pro-Iranian militias in the area confirmed four of the fatalities were from Hezbollah. The border crossing at Al-Bukamal had been attacked by Israel before although the IDF avoided targeting Hezbollah operatives there.

Iran/Hezbollah never want an all out shooting war.
Hezbollah commander recently stated that the status quo with Israel is preferred. What he means is the current Hezbollah rate of rocket fire into Israel, and Israel’s response of taking out the rocket launcher. The commander sees what Israel is doing in Gaza, and wants none of that in Lebanon.
I heard a great podcast on Iran’s ability to project power outside of Iran. I’m sorry I do not remember the person talking, but he made a lot of sense. Iran’s army and secret police are there to protect the mullahs from the Iranian people. They use others to make trouble around the world.
The last time Iran tried to significantly disrupt oil flow, their ‘navy’ was defeated in about 4 hours.
Yes, Iran killed many Americans with IEDs and other devices. In 2009 millions of Iranians took to the streets to protest. It would have been an ideal time for the world and America to support real regime change. Unfortunately, Hussein was in the White House.
