Nixon White House attorney John Dean said Thursday he believes the Maine decision to remove former President Trump from the ballot will be difficult to overturn, calling it “very solid.”
Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows (D) determined late Thursday that Trump should be kept off the state’s primary ballot because his conduct surrounding the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riots violated the 14th Amendment.
Dean denounced criticism by the Trump campaign, which called the decision “election interference.”
“There was ample due process in this proceeding, and they just lost by a straight, honest reading of the 14th Amendment,” Dean said in a CNN interview. “Trump’s in trouble.”

The deep state is scared of Trump.
Knock knock - who’s there? The Supreme Court and the constitution- your actions are unconstitutional!
The Maine electoral delegation will not be permitted to be seated in the electoral college
2015 Trump’s in trouble
2016 Trump’s in trouble
2017 Trump’s in trouble
2018 Trump’s in trouble
2019 Trump’s in trouble
2020 Trump’s in trouble
2021 Trump’s in trouble
2022 Trump’s in trouble
2023 Trump’s in trouble
2024 Trump’s in trouble
I hope that Maine follows through.
When the SCOTUS rules that they:
1. Failed Due process
2. Ursurped Federal authority
3. Incorrectly catagorized Insurrection
4. Damaged someone Never charged or convicted
5. Committed Civil Rights violation by preventing voting.
Or all of the Above...
Then Maine and the other States can be held CIVIL LIABILITIES for Election interference and Civil Rights violations. That price Tag could easily be in the Trillions. Good for Maine, stepping forward to take the financial consequences of preventing voters from deciding and the SOS who will be individually liable for CIVIL and CRIMINAL (election tampering)!!!! I thought it would be Colorado, but they chickened out when they stayed the order.
This guy is still alive?.........................
Once deep state, always deep state.
Courts issue rulings ...
... politicians issue opinions.
“Remove Joe from one Ballot, and the Supreme Court will be in Emergency Session that night”
Absolutely correct......and it would bring this bs to a screeching halt.
Well, that settles it then!!

.......Maine makes Trump’s USSC case WRT Colorado even stronger. It demonstrates the effect
of incompetent state officials’ arbitrary rulings to keep candidates they don’t like off the ballot.........
John Dean has never read the 14th Amendment. He is just trying to make a name for himself saying crap like this.
How does someone rule such when the person has not only NOT been convicted of the crime, but has not even been tried?
Ahole responsible for Watergate so he could break in and retrieve the damning files on his hooker girlfriend. Yeah; we want to hear from him.
Wait a second one party can just remove another party’s candidates ,LOL
I told some old liberal hippie types I know - "your views now align perfectly with Dick Cheney's. I bet you never imagined that 20 years ago."
Their reply: "We don't care!"
I am surprised he neglected to mention that the situation is more serious than Watergate.
In case someone thought there were no anti-Trumpers in the USA, John Dean is hauled out of the nursing home to remind us that while TDS is waning, there are still some folks who have a very virulent case of Trump Derangement Syndrome.
Dean the Rat was never right about anything, so he’s not about to break that streak now.
