The decline in college enrollment among U.S. young adults in the past decades is being driven in part by fewer young men pursuing higher education, according to data analyses by Pew Research Center.
Roughly 1 million fewer young men are in college compared to 0.2 million fewer young women in the past decade, Pew senior researcher Richard Fry wrote, citing new data from the U.S. Census Bureau pertaining to 18-to-24-year-olds’ college enrollment data.
“As a result, men make up 44 percent of young college students today, down from 47 percent in 2011…” he wrote. “This shift is driven entirely by the falling share of men who are students at four-year colleges. Today, men represent only 42 percent of students ages 18 to 24 at four-year schools, down from 47 percent in 2011.”

It IS a good decision, you’re right.
They also go to college campuses in the area to protest against abortion.
Colleges no longer educate. They indoctrinate. Marxist indoctrination. Especially the so-called “Ivy League” colleges.
Don’t go to college and DON”T GET MARRIED.
The overwhelming chance is you will lose half your S and if you have kids it will be even worse. The system is anti male and it feels like the younger men are getting the message.
Trade school is definitely a better career choice. Plus, all of these WOKE universities are required to have DEI offices.
DEI offices are not there to prosecute women or minority men.
White male undergrads are their target, so why should a person pay outrageous tuition to be treated like a serf.
Men are just smarter than women, and see what a scam most colleges are. Sorry if that sounds dogmatic, but it’s just the truth.
I don’t know. I graduated from college and went to work. I knew very little when I showed up. I learned fast.
The thing is, I did not start using my “college knowledge” until I was pretty far up the corporate ladder. And that was almost all math and accounting.
I wonder what is different today?
I’ve done both, Trade school and upper education.
Worked out really good for me.
Every man should learn a trade of some sorts, Period.
If so motivated get upper education in an area that makes more money.
A BA degree in anything doesn’t mean crud. Only STEM degrees are worth the time, effort, and money. Guess what, most women don’t want to work that hard.

Trades pay as much or better than most degrees over time and can’t be offshored

They are looked on as second class citizens.
Maleness is sneered at.
Every ad on TV featured a weak male. The women are the strong and smart ones.
Men are bumbling and stupid.
I remember all the discussion as an undergrad & grad student about how pedagogy was geared toward males, and how it had to change so females would be more equally represented.
Now that we've blown way past "equality," all we get to see is the feminist victory dance as males become the disadvantaged sex.

There is no incentive to work hard for people like me. Wrong race / sex.
My employer loves to lie by saying they are inclusive and non discriminatory. People outside my democraphic hire people like themselves.
College isn’t the benefit it used to be and it has become far too expensive, leaving young adult graduates with huge debt before they even start a career.
Plus, so many colleges now are just an extension of the indoctrination factories the public schools have become. Their main objective is to crank out more leftists.

We know some relatively young California parents with 2 Stem students and two trade school grads.
The stem grads started getting corporate financial aid during the first Covid year basically full costs the last couple of years.
Needless to say the 2 Stem Kids have job offers from those companies before they will be graduated in June 2024.
The two trade school grads are sharing and will be buying a one bedroom home basically by themselves and the corporations they have worked for.
