Former President Donald Trump said Tuesday night at a campaign stop in Iowa that he has not read "Mein Kampf," the manifesto written by Nazi leader Adolf Hitler.
Trump made the statement following recent criticism comparing his words over undocumented immigrants to those used by Hitler in the lead-up to World War II.
While he distanced himself from the controversial book, Trump doubled down on his previous comments about undocumented immigrants.
"They're destroying the blood of our country," Trump said about the waves of migrants who have crossed the border. "They're ruining our country. And it's true they're destroying the blood of our country. That's what they're doing. They're destroying our country."

I think it is how He monopolized the media coverage, forcing them to keep repeating his name to the exclusion of any others.
There used to be a saying in politics that all publicity, even bad publicity, is good.
That’s it!
No matter how ridiculously over-the-top behavior you try to imagine the left taking, they actually have done it.
I took Mein Kampf out of the local library when I was I high school. It’s unreadable drivel and hardly more than a pamphlet. I’ll bet Mao’s little red book is no better.
Every truly educated person should have read extremely important historic documents such as Mein Kampf, Works of Chairman Mao etc.
“If more people had read Mein Kampf in the 1930s, Hitler wouldn’t have gotten away with what he did.”
Sort of the same reason we release ‘manifestos’ from serial killers...
Here is a bit of trivia. How did Hitler get so much personal money? Everyone thinks he stole it from the Jewish population. But in fact he got his money from the royalties of 'Mein Kampf'. Every government office, every registered Nazi, every school room, etc... had to have at least one copy. Legal enrichment.
Story from one of Lyndon Johnson’s early Texas political campaigns... Johnson was trailing a primary opponent, and was discussing strategy with his campaign manager. Johnson suggested his team spread the rumor his opponent as a youth had sex with barnyard animals. The manager said “We could never prove such a thing!!” Johnson replied “we ain’t gotta prove it... we just gotta keep him busy denying it.”
i tried reading it one time. it was so boring i dont think i made it thru the first chapter
I take it by the blood, President Trump means the blood, sweat and tears of the country is being overwhelmed by illegal entrants who are expecting that they will be allowed to freely feed upon the hard work of the rightful citizens. The abundance of the nation is produced by the hard work of its citizens who shed blood, sweat and tears to produce the nation’s abundance.
I don’t recall but do remember as my majors changed once I was out of the Navy that I ended up reading Mein Kampf and the Communist Manifesto and other documents. My only recollection was that the Communist Manifesto was at least readable.
Trump wrote it in an earlier life.
What is the question???
Obama’s advisors all had a copy of Mao’s Little Red Book.
I bought a box lot of books at an estate auction years ago, a copy of Mein Kampf was in the box. I tried to read some of it, and decided that it was an absloute waste of time. I threw it in the trash.
It is unreadable. I tried but it’s crap.
