States trashing tons of masks, other pandemic gear as huge stockpiles linger

When the coronavirus pandemic took hold in an unprepared U.S., states scrambled for masks and other protective gear.

Three years later, as the grips of the pandemic have loosened, many states are now trying to deal with an excess of protective gear, ditching their supplies in droves.

With expiration dates passing and few requests to tap into its stockpile, Ohio auctioned off 393,000 gowns for just $2,451 and ended up throwing away another 7.2 million, along with expired masks, gloves and other materials. The now expiring supplies had cost about $29 million in federal money

The AP found in 2020 that states spent over $7 billion in a few months on PPE, ventilators and some other high-demand medical devices in a seller’s market. Ultimately, the federal government paid for many of the supplies.

Fauci and his cronies got rich off of this. Think of the enviromental damage with all of this going into landfills

China caused the virus.
China made masks to combat the virus.
China made kits to test for the virus.

How’s that for a punch in the gut, America?

As a side note, I ordered my blood thinners from Canada recently and they included in the package a Face Diaper which went right in the trash...?

“Think of the enviromental damage with all of this going into landfills”

What I think of is the carnage of humans going into cemetery plots caused by an experimental injection.

I can still see the Surgeon General instructing us on how to make a mask....like we're a bunch of idiots.

All you have to do is watch an old western...why do you think those giddy up guys wear a neck scarf...cuz they're pretty??

Leave it to government to impose expiration dates on non perishables such as masks.

Don’t blame it all on China. America was deep into involvement right along with them.

Now that is what I call an even bigger gut punch.

If a mask is in a sealed container, how does it expire?

Hey!

If they don’t get rid of the old stuff they don’t have an excuse to buy new stuff.

And of course they are getting rid of this stuff just in time for the next phony pandemic.

They will probably be buying back this stuff from the people they sold it to at a premium.

Of course, those masks were to protect against trail dust, or personal identification. Trail dust is a bit larger than virus particles.

Why do inert gowns, masks and gloves have expiration dates?

The hospital I work at bought tons of hoods and gowns for the Ebola scare of 2014. By the time of the COVID outbreak they had been “lost”.

Friends, I think you both quite correct. This has been a multinational attack on humanity for the sake of profits for the few and corruption via too many.

Trashing? That’s just stupid. Hand them out to the taxpayers.

Heck, I could use them when I’m sanding sheetrock, cutting MDF trim, cutting brick/stone, etc. I always keep a box of N95s in the garage. Don’t want any of that nasty dust clogging my lungs.

My mom used to sell stuff to the government. She would respond to solicitations for items they want to buy. She would frequently buy the items past their expiration date at surplus auctions. She would then re-test, re-package, and re-sell the same goods when solicited again. She asked the procurement officers if that was OK? They said that yes, it is as long as the materials are within specifications in the bid solicitation. She asked why they put expiration dates on items that don't expire? The procurement officer told her they can't allow no expiration goods into the federal procurement system, so everything expires in 3 to 5 years.

A waste of billions the government demands it waste.

How in blazes do these supplies expire? Who has the current protective gear contract and who jumped in to buy shares? They made money then and they’re making money now.

Whatever happened to the thousands of respirators that were built in a crash program when the “experts” predicted every COVID patient would need?

Because if they trash them, they will pay even more taxpayer money to their cronies for similar merchandise next time there’s a plandemic.
