Imagine what government would be like if lobbyists weren’t allowed to buy votes, if there were term limits, if elected officials income’s were restricted to the salaries of the elected office, if Senators were once again elected by the States - - - and all the other “ifs”.
DC is like Chicago. Chicago was not always corrupt. Add to Chicago the mobster rule during Prohibition and it never went away, just changed it’s format enough to stay alive and well. Keep a democrat in charge and Chicago will be corrupt for eternity.
Of course. I’m sure that Lindsey has quite a few carve-outs squirreled away in the NDAA that he wants to survive, so he has to be the loyal-but-not-too-vocal second tier opposition.
The very best thing you can say about Republicans like Lindsey Graham is that they live in the past, back in the days when Democrats played nice with others.
Today’s Democrats go for throat. Their goal is not to just nudge America a bit to the left. Their goal is to take complete control of the nation and destroy all opposition.

Graham is part of the Club that is the US Senate, so is Biden. Club members stick together. What’s worse is how many people not in the Club took its stamp of approval seriously as a sign of virtue and voted for Biden because they thought he was a “good” man, a person of honesty and integrity.
Also, senators live in a gray zone between what’s legal and what isn’t. Impeachment would call attention to what goes on there every day, and all the things senators do that may or may not be in the strictest sense illegal. The Senate hasn’t even managed to get rid of Menendez, so Biden is safe.

Recall when he introduced his abortion ban bill only a couple of months before the mid term 2022 elections. The timing of it alone is so suspicious. They mustve put him up to it in order to help weaken or destroy Republican electoral chances.
