There was no nationwide consensus on slavery either, but some principles aren’t location-based. A human has a right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness no matter which state he’s in.
My position...in today’s culture we’re going to lose on this single issue. The fact is, many women will vote on this alone.
So long as our position is for it to be illegal we lose the narrative.
My suggested approach - you don’t make it illegal BUT, HUGE BUT, we show every 16 year old girl the graphic details of abortion during sec education. I don’t just mean pictures. I mean video. I want them to see the reality of a 4 week, 8 week, 6 month, etc. baby being dismembered. I want them to see the obvious struggle, what it really looks like when you crush the skull to suck out the brain - and then the resulting chopped up parts.
I also suggest we start with a baby at birth, born - showing a cute new miracle...then work backwards through age on multiple abortions. The first being the partial birth abortion. Show multiple abortions all the way back to a 1 month old fetus. Show how early there’s a heartbeat and a nervous system.
Then let the left claim “this is just a clump of cells”, that it “isn’t a human being yet”.
There’s a cold hard reality of what is being done. So long as people are shielded from that reality and don’t have to see it, they can lie to themselves that it is...”just a clump of cells”. THAT is the narrative that needs to be destroyed. It ISN’T only “my body”. Fine, you want to be able to choose to kill that which lives off you? At least know exactly what you’re doing.
We need every doctor that performs them to be considered the most vile people on the planet. We need every male to know they will be held accountable.
This is a matter of culture and morality, not law. That will also defeat the “back ally abortions” narrative.
I’m not sure I’ll convince many here but I do believe, with the right facts known, the vast majority of young women will make a different choice.

Women live by consensus. The consensus is that they must have abortions because they want ot have sex unconditionally.

Science says a human life begins at conception.
NOW she’s for contraception. Shoulda thought about that before introducing her demon spawn to the world.
The messaging should avoid direct language with government saying no to a persons activity, if you wish to appeal to this group.
A softer message that says something like we want people to be free to make a choice but we also want the best for both the mother and the baby and that is why we respect the right to choose that protects the life of both. When the fetus can be safely removed without harm to either involved then we can proceed with the removal procedure. The baby can safely be removed at 28 weeks and with only a 2-3 month inconvenience.
If you read the abortion related law that passed in Ohio the language of up to fetal viability was inserted because they knew it had to be in to garner the votes for it to pass. And so the concern for the life of the baby is still there.
Conway was on tv the other day. She had some kind of makeover. She was wearing something appropriate and a great lip color She looked fabulous. She wasn’t rambling on like she does. Just sounded very intelligent and informed

We’re really bad at messaging. Sometimes I pull an all-nighter sewing and the ACLU commercials are slick even though they’re full of lies. Many refer to Rowe, saying that the GOP has outlawed abortion.
We need to have ads that tell the truth, and make them at LEAST as well put together as the enemy’s ads. We do nothing. Just let them ride roughshod over us.

And that’s pitiful. It confirms how stupid women are. The is an issue that doesn’t have to be an issue. You don’t get pregnant from a toilet seat. Is an overt act that can be avoided or managed. It’s so simple, and women say, “I’m so dumb I don’t know how to not get pregnant.”
