Philadelphia City Council members voted last week to ban the wearing of ski masks in some public places.
Council members voted 13-2 to approve the bill, which allows the city to fine people $250 for wearing a ski mask, also called a balaclava, in parks, schools, day-care centers and city-owned buildings and on public transit. There are exceptions for religious expression and First Amendment activities such as protesting.
Progressive Councilmember Kendra Brooks of the Working Families Party and Democrat Jamie Gauthier voted against the bill. The ACLU also opposes the bill.

The folks will merely say that they were wearing the ski masks while protesting the high prices of the items in the stores they were “liberating” stuff from.

What’s the problem? these places are already declared “gun free zones” by the City, so there’s nothing to worry about....
This law will soon be followed by uproar in the black community that outlawing ski masks is racist...
"Environmental Court" they call it. Your business creates the environment for crime, therefore your business must be closed. Apartment buildings, gas stations, mini marts, etc....The court orders your business closed and property sold. All the while the cops sit in your parking lot and do nothing to deter criminal activity. In fact, they wholly endorse it.
Crime has nothing to do with letting violent criminals out of jail and not prosecuting criminals-—Yup, crime is happening only because of ski masks. The world lived in bliss before the evil ski mask inventor got greedy and started selling masks everywhere!!!
Changing the rules without changing rule arbiters will change nothing. (I’m with the guy laughing.)
