A Los Angeles County business owner fears for the safety and future of his business after it was burglarized several times over the past two years, with the latest incident happening Wednesday morning.
Around 5 a.m., security cameras captured a blue Kia Soul smashing into a gate several times surrounding Glassell Park Construction and Electronics Company located in the 2300 block of North San Fernando. After breaking down the gate, at least a dozen suspects were able to break in.
Moments later, the thieves were seen fleeing the scene with expensive items including instruments and equipment, ditching the Kia and racing to other getaway cars.
The business owner, Ryan Baggaley, says he received a phone call from the ring system and rushed to his company while his wife contacted police. He says it took two hours before police responded to the scene.
“They’re saying, ‘We don’t have anyone in the area,’” he recalled. “We’re like, ‘Now it’s been 15 minutes, then it’s 20 minutes and they’re still not here. It just kept going and they didn’t respond for two hours.”
Baggaley, who said he reported about 15 break-ins at his and his clients’ properties over the past two years, blames political leaders for the delayed police response and lack of officers on the street protecting businesses and properties.
“You guys aren’t doing your job,” he said. “That’s the simple truth of the matter. People do not like the wild west. We keep 30 guys employed, trying to pay our taxes. The least I can ask is for some patrolmen in the area.”

I know this area. The police station is literally around the corner.
Sometimes the cops will intentionally hold back on their response time in an effort to get the tax payers to fork over more cash.
Neighborhood protection services are a better option than the police. But the police would respond real quick to that sort of competition.

These criminals steal the Kias because there is some kind of electronic hack you can use to unlock the doors and start the engine. Major design flaw in Kia! Then they smash them into a store, loot the store and usually abandon the stolen car. But I suppose they could be sent to a chop shop for parts. So you get the merch, the display materials, and the car parts all before the police are dispatched.
The liberals who vote for this are too stupid to ever learn and will vote for an even more marxist clown when election time rolls around.
Once they get by with this, the next step is killing and robbing unsuspecting victims. It is only a matter of time before they move to the next level with a vengeance. They wish us dead or in concentration camps, if one doesn’t believe this then they aren’t watching and cognizant of the current state of affairs.
This has happened in the past year to a couple gun shops around where I live. Perps steal a car, ram it through the front of the shop, grab as many guns as they can, and take off in a waiting car. I read recently that some arrests were made in the thefts. Both of the gun shops now have the concrete Jersey barricades they use for traffic control placed in front now.
