Hundreds of Washington Post staff will go on strike Thursday and ahead of the industrial action have released a video message, pleading for public support during the 24-hour stoppage.
The strike at the far-left outlet comes after 18 months of failed talks to reach a new deal covering pay, remote work, and other conditions — and after the daily, owned by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, warned more layoffs were possible.

This is exactly the difference between the subjective and the objective views of reality. No doubt, in their own mind they are entitled to all they think they should have. However, in the outside world, their value is determined by the marketplace, which if no longer governed by The Iron Law of Wages, is certainly driven by the marginal utility of their services, which is apparently much less than they think it is. That's really their complaint.
[I’m worth job protections that value my years of service,” multiple employees are seen saying in the video.”]
Where were they when a bunch of us in I/T were being replaced by H1-Bs?
Oh yeah, silent..........
Embrace the suck, morons. Welcome to the party, pal.
Shouldn't they be pleading with William Burns?
> STRIKE! Down with the capitalist bastards! <
I’m with you on that, except for the campfires part. We all must be careful not to do things that might cause Global Warming.
Al Gore himself told me that just the other day.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!
Does anyone read the Post?
One way to improve the product.
Naw - this is what you're worth.
Many media outlets such as the Washington Post, LA Times, NBC among many others are owned, controlled and subsidized by liberal, leftist billionaire individuals and families. They use them to project their power, interests and politics. Most of these people have the primordial fear that one day they will be held accountable by the outraged people and that their commitment and support of the Left will protect and preserve them. They are as hopelessly wrong as were the pompous upper class Russian elites who supported the revolution. They were among the first to be liquidated.
Sooooooo... how much are they paid? Betcha it's more than the average Amazon employee.
(I would sign a petition that WaPo writers are worthless, if someone starts one)
They make plenty of money since they are paid by the lie.
Somebody potoshop the potato in there somewhere!
Washington Post is A LEFT WING RAG.
Can I donate to the scab replacements?
“industrial action”
I think that is a British term.
One day strikes are common in Italy.
The ledgers say you’re not even worth what you’re getting.
Thank God Bezos has an ego.
Both readers support the strikers!
Strikers:
“I’m worth equal pay to my colleagues”
They are worth zero.
In fact I would not even pay them that much.
