Speaker Mike Johnson said Tuesday that House Republicans are blurring footage from the Capitol attack before releasing it publicly because they don't want Jan. 6 rioters to be charged with crimes.

"We have to blur some faces of persons who participated in the events of that day because we don’t want them to be retaliated against and to be charged by the DOJ," Johnson said Tuesday.

“That’s the First amendment, I believe.”

...my error. You are correct. Sentiment and intent remains

So Mike’s a devout honest Christian man. On the weekend?

I’d want my face seen if I were just rubbernecking like 95% of them obviously were. That 5% that weren’t were Feds, BLM or AntiFA employed by Feds or dumbasses - all who should be seen and identified for the sake of the wrongfully incarcerated political prisoners guilty of being Trump supporters.

“I’d want my face seen if I were just rubbernecking…”

Not me - there are hundreds rotting in the DC gulag for rubbernecking or less. I’m not in a hurry to join them.

The FBI uses face recognition software to match up Jan 6 protesters with social media. But that only goes so far, since many of us don’t have pictures on the internet.

However, once the footage is released to the public, democrats can start turning in their neighbors and coworkers, etc., and don’t think they won’t do it.

If I was there that day, I’d want my face blurred. Just sayin’.

Exactly. If someone finks on an FBI plant, there aren't consequences. If a fink finks on his previously unidentified neighbor, get the cuffs.

That's the thing - they don't belong there and the system has to be repaired so the scum who did that to them are there instead. And that requires exposure of the partisanship, corruption and abuses of our legal system these hacks have been enjoying without worry of righteousness crashing back down on their guilty heads.

We aren't supposed to live in fear - they are.

“We aren’t supposed to live in fear - they are.”

I totally agree - that’s how it should be. But at the moment they have the upper hand so be careful. There’s that saying - something like - if you set out to shoot the king, make sure you don’t miss.

I think that’s what went wrong Jan 6 - it should have been 100 million people - not 1 million.

They stole that election and we never should have let them get away with it.

The FIB already has a clear copy of the videos.

The FBI has faces without names; there is more here: www.freerepublic.com

Presumably, your house note is paid, your kids have finished school, and you're terminally ill.

Check on all three but I get it. Well the cancer’s beat for now but always due back to finish the job. I don’t worry about it because worry (like fear) kills you faster.

I look at our founders: well-off guys who would have continued to thrive under monarchy but chose to risk it all on principle knowing everyone’s future would benefit from gaining independence.

And here we are again with an oppressive government putting its boot on everyone’s collective throat abusing power. Power that ultimately comes from us...and they need reminding of that periodically.
