Israel is said to have completed installing at least five pumps about a mile north of the Al-Shati refugee camp that could move thousands of cubic metres of water per hour - meaning they could flood the 300-mile network of tunnels within weeks.
Their plan would be to drive out the terrorists from the tunnels and make them inoperable by flooding the system with seawater from the Mediterranean Sea.
And now, images released by the IDF appear to show scores of Israeli soldiers setting up a series of black pipes on the sandy beaches of Gaza. Video shared by Israeli media also appears to show IDF soldiers working on the pipes while underground.
It emerged on Monday that Israel has assembled a system of large pumps it could use to flood Hamas's vast network of tunnels under the Gaza Strip with sea water, according to US officials.
Whilst a mission aimed at flooding the tunnels underneath Gaza with sea water could wipe out the terrorists hiding there, it would also put the lives of the 138 hostages held captive by Hamas at risk.
But it's not clear if Israel would even consider using the pumps before all the hostages are released.

Are the hostages even alive and well?
Sweet
They should be using raw sewage.
The strategic mistake is to act as though the hostages were not already dead when they were taken.
“ Are the hostages even alive and well?”
They’re all dead.
L
Good plan.
Pump in bacon grease...
Napalm.
this sounded like a pretty good thing to try when it first was announced several weeks ago
how long does it take to set up a pump?
flush the Satanic Fakestinian rats out and let’s be done with them!
👍👍👍
I suggested this weeks ago....perhaps they read here too. 🤣
The hostages should be considered dead.
“But it’s not clear if Israel would even consider using the pumps before all the hostages are released.”
i would think that it would take days to completely flood some of these tunnel complexes, and even if it was just hours, there would be plenty of time to evacuate ...
Sea water? Really?
What ever happened to TNT, dynomite, re-directed sewer, sarin gas?
They should mix dye with the water to see if and where a drain system is.
If they are, Hamas will just drown them and moved their bodies near the tunnels in their typical false flag propaganda manner.
Alive, likely, but not well. And if Israel moves to flood the tunnels, they will be imprisoned therein for dramatic effect, which the media loves. The world is now such that most people, seemingly partcularly so here in the U.S., would blame Israel for drowning people rather than Hamas for (yet again) placing civilians/hostages in harms way.
Sappers... They come in handy, and hopefully they will force the most vile rats from their hiding holes.
Don’t really see the point in this.
The next tunnels will house hospitals and schools.
And there WILL be a next time.
Israel is now going to have a big natural gas field offshore. Make an agreement to share proceeds with the Palestinian Authority in Gaza and threats to that revenue stream will soon disappear.
Heh. My first thought was flooding the tunnels with methane, but the optics of such an assault wouldn’t play well.
