As she woos her party’s wealthy donors, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley is promoting a policy that sets her apart from her closest competitors for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination: A willingness to stake out positions on the politically fraught issue of overhauling the nation’s entitlement programs.
In a recent Haley endorsement, Emily Seidel – a top official in the influential political network associated with billionaire Charles Koch – praised the former UN ambassador’s “courage” for advocating changes to “an entitlement system that makes promises it can’t keep.”

No I’m truly informed. Only a delusional individual would believe that our current Federal Reserve banking system is likely to continue for more than another year. The entire world is moving to a new system. BRICS is just the first phase. Ignorance is not an excuse.

I can’t stand the neocon Nikki Haley but something will have to be done if we are to salvage Social Security. I’m not adverse to eliminating benefits for the very wealthy. I have a very wealthy uncle (multi-millionaire) still practicing law at 77 y/o and collecting $3k plus in SS that he really doesn’t need He already has more money than he’ll ever be able to spend as it is and won’t miss the extra money he currently receives from SS.
Didn’t your uncle pay into the SS system?
Obviously since he is collecting it.

The "donor community" is a small tribe that covet social proof from their fellow donors, and cultivate media for a stamp of approval of their nefarious deeds.
That's all it is. I don't know if any other Western state that has voting allows such a thing. Is there a "donor community" in Austria? In Portugal?
Touching SS is political suicide. By the numbers, boomers are now retiring in droves and the seniors are a large voting bloc.
SS soundness is only as good as the honesty of those currently paying the taxes which fund the benefits.
In 2023, there are enough honest taxpayer/voters to keep the promise and fund those who have paid into it.
If you were paying attention to the morals of the children who are currently being raised and the allegiance those who are currently breaking into the country have to the natives, you would realize that SS is going away quickly.
I have been paying (they have been stealing) 15% of the value of my labor for decades but I am certain that I won't see a penny.
If we were a serious and sane country, then only viable candidates WOULD talk about SS and Medicare. We’re driving towards a cliff, but anyone who dares bring it up gets attacked. We deserve our fate.

Her "policy" is a "willingness to stake out positions?" Her idea to make everybody register with the govt. for social media disappeared quickly.
