When hired by MSNBC as a legal analyst Andrew Weissmann, host Ari Melber explained that Weissmann is a “legend” while others heralded his insider perspective on cases. While many disagreed, Weissmann now has the inside scoop on a major defamation lawsuit in Washington, D.C. He is also the defendant. The controversial former aide to Special Counsel Robert Mueller (and NYU law professor) is being sued after declaring that attorney Stefan Passantino coached former Trump aide Cassidy Hutchinson to lie before Congress.
Weissmann has long a reliable source for MSNBC in assuring the public that a wide variety of claims against Donald Trump and associates are well-based while panning investigations involving his own investigation, Democrats or the Bidens.
[snip]
What Weissmann often lacked in precedent, he made up for in hyperbole. That signature is at the heart of the current lawsuit. On September 13, 2023, Weissmann was referring to Judy Hunt and noted on Twitter (now X) that “Hunt also is Cassidy Hutchinson’s good lawyer. (Not the one who coached her to lie).”
In making this claim against Passantino, Weissmann actually triggered the “per se” defamation standard twice. These are categories that have been treated as defamatory per se. The allegation that Passantino would not only constitute criminal conduct but also unethical professional conduct.

If there is anyone who deserves Pancreatic Cancer it’s this POS.
Shakespeare was right.
However conservatives have options that are flooding the country to defend usa.
Funny they don’t use them
I hope he takes him for every penny he has.
He’s in the top five of the people I dispise.
Like an outhouse.
Under Judge Chutkin, in D.C, the case will probably be dismissed. There is no chance of victory unfortunately.
Whoah! Mr. Passantino must really be torqued to take this one on. It bugged me more than anything when Sidney Powell was brought down that that prick Weissman must have felt like it was his personal Christmas.
But this Hutchinson is a bit ditsy, so her testimony that Passantino was a good guy can be made to imply that she was under that mistaken understanding at the time, but, since then, someone removed the scales from her lovely eyes.
The case is a tough one, but oh, do I hope it goes somewhere. If anyone really needs some comeuppance, it is this slimy, cunning son of a gun.
I was thinking a swim in a river in North Queensland Australia, think "Big Hungry Crocodiles." However, there is the risk the Crocodiles will give him a pass as professional courtesy between equals.
Ask Sidney Powell about Weissmann.
Maybe the calculus is to exculpt MSNBC so they cannot provide a settlement, and instead lawfare Scheistemann into bankruptcy, which shouldn't be difficult.
The Jersey Pine Barrens...
There seems to be a word missing somewhere in this sentence. Maybe it should be "Weissmann has long been a reliable source for MSNBC"
I tried to write a summary in intelligible English:
Weissman is suing Passantino for coaching Cassidy to lie in court under oath.
Maybe Weissman is more greedy than ideological?
