Very wise.
So, the news?
Actual purchases are down 3% but the cost has risen due to 11% inflation
Fun with reporting numbers
Black Friday e-commerce spending popped 7.5% from a year earlier,
I’ve been away from home and putting items in my “save for later” on Amazon so I get notices on price changes. The price changes are nearly daily on a lot of items. Go up and down by a little and a lot. Never realized prices changes that frequently on so may items.
More people will shop online especially with crime in shopping areas is increasing.
How many credit cards will be paid off next month? Very few.
It’s all a part of the marketing program AMZ operates. They do it to get you to buy because it goes up/down. Got to catch it before it goes up!
It’s funny how when you give up on credit a lot of things drop off the list of what you need.
7.5% growth matches 7.5% inflation. In other words, sales in constant dollars were flat.
We live at the beginning of a dead-end street with about 15 houses past us toward the end. Half the neighborhood goes south for the winter.
There are five to seven delivery trucks every day going down the street.
Sheesh. Was this in New Mexico? With all that cheap, plentiful ‘migrant’ labor?
All because this government wants 'migrants' who will vote Democrat because it will give them everything they want.
This entire government is lying to us. It thinks because it can get up and say “inflation is down, unemployment is down, housing is great, everything is great.....” we’ll believe it.
Working people have it rough and the government just doesn’t care. They look for new and different ways to tax us and then they tell us that we just don’t understand the complexities of everything and that we’re gonna have to give up gas ovens, IC cars, not burn wood or coal, and give billions away to other countries who won’t EVER pay us back.
“It thinks because it can get up and say “inflation is down, unemployment is down, housing is great, everything is great.....” we’ll believe it.”
Unfortunately there are two generations and majority of mindless brain dead zombies that do believe it. So what we do not believe doesn’t matter much in the bigger picture.
How much of that was put on high interest credit cards?
Bingo. And most assuredly, the answer is “No”. The headline, more truthfully, would be “Americans shell out nearly 10% more for the same stuff they thought they needed to buy last year!”
The parallel to this ‘story’ could be: “Americans spending more than ever before on housing, food, health care, and energy! Clearly, the economy is BOOMING!!!”
Idiots lap this stuff up...
THey spent more because now everyday is Black Friday.
Stores are empty, nobody wants to go to brick-and-mortar stores if they can help it.
Bingo
Bets placed; most used borrowed money. Being cash poor is
is the norm for most of us (world wide).
