No turkeys plummeting to the ground like sacks of wet cement, but I still got 7/9.
For Thanksgiving I am thankful that this is not a pay week....I just got a couple more corrections in my inbox. *sigh*
Better now than tomorrow. We all have fingers crossed to be let out early tomorrow. Noon would be nice, but I’d settle for 3pm. LOL!
You did get lucky this time. Usually holiday weeks fall on pay week. Lucky twice since most holidays fall on Mondays instead of at the end of the week. Definitely something to be thankful for. LOL
Keeping all appendages crossed that no more corrections show up and that you do get off at noon tomorrow.
One last note before I get back to work...
All the ducks are quacking in the creek, but will not come up.
I don’t see a hawk or owl in the bare branches, but one or the other must have been here, or close by.
Glad I gave them a snack a few hours ago.
Thanks...I hope so. We’re supposed to go see my brother on Friday...Aaaa-CHOO!
Yikes! I hope the ducks were all able to hide well enough to avoid being dinner.
I’ve already come down with something. I just hope it’s shortlived. And that no one else gets it. I’m heading out now to sleep. See y’all!
Thanks for your help tonight! <3
Drat! Probably picked it up at the dentist’s office. I hope it’s short-lived too!
Hi Everybody!

Bible in a Year:
You will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life.
The first thing I noticed about the city was its gambling outlets. Next, its cannabis shops, âadultâ stores, and giant billboards for opportunistic lawyers making money off othersâ mishaps. While I had visited many shady cities before, this one seemed to reach a new low.
My mood brightened, however, when I spoke to a taxi driver the next morning. âI ask God every day to send me the people He wants me to help,â he said. âGambling addicts, prostitutes, people from broken homes tell me their problems in tears. I stop the car. I listen. I pray for them. This is my ministry.â
After describing Jesusâ descent into our fallen world (Philippians 2:5â8), the apostle Paul gives believers in Christ a calling. As we pursue Godâs will (v. 13) and hold to the âword of lifeââthe gospel (v. 16)âweâll be âchildren of God without fault in a warped and crooked generationâ who âshine . . . like stars in the skyâ (v. 15). Like that taxi driver, weâre to bring Jesusâ light into the darkness.
A believer in Christ has only to live faithfully in order to change the world, historian Christopher Dawson said, because in that very act of living âthere is contained all the mystery of divine life.â Letâs ask Godâs Spirit to empower us to live faithfully as Jesusâ people, shining His light in the worldâs darkest places. .
Reflect & Pray
How can you focus on Christ today, rather than the worldâs evil? How can you shine His light today in your neighborhood?
Dear Jesus, thank You for being the Light of the World who brings me out of darkness.
Got 7. Some lucky guesses and a couple of visual clues helped.
I was disappointed, too.
9 of 9.
Yesterday at Chisolm Trail Park.
On the quiz I got 7 correct.
How's everyone doing this morning?

Ya reckon Gizmo got in enough rollin’ around yesterday? LOL
Yep, he sure enjoyed it.
7/9 — Thanks for the diversion! I’d rather do anything than go to Walmart today; but it’s tthe only place around here that sells gluten-free pretzels for my friends’ holiday dinner request!
I think Iâm going to buy a lottery ticket today.
9 of 9!
