Christmas, Easter part of Canada's colonial bias: Report

A recent human rights report calls government holidays for Christmas and Easter discriminatory to religious minorities in Canada.

According to Blacklock’s Reporter, the Canadian Human Rights Commission’s report says statutory holidays in the country are an “obvious example” of systemic religious discrimination rooted in colonial bias.

“Statutory holidays related to Christianity, including Christmas and Easter, are the only Canadian statutory holidays linked to religious holy days,” said the Discussion Paper on Religious Intolerance. “As a result, non-Christians may need to request special accommodation to observe their holy days.”

The earliest mention of Christmas in Canada dates to 1641, according to the Canadian Encyclopedia. Jesuit missionary Jean de Brebeuf, who lived among the Huron of Georgian Bay, composed a Christmas carol telling the story of the birth of Jesus.

The West is run by fools and evil rulers who allow their culture and history to be burned. We were ridiculed because we pointed out there was a war on Christmas.

These people are very dull and therefore simply not worth listening to.

This cup of green tea is an example of Colonialism.

One day, a long time ago, on a simpler, less self-conscious Earth, a certain “Men’s Magazine” — I don’t honestly recall whichc one; but it was either Plaboy or Esquire — had an actual sense of humor, and annually ran some awards in a special article. The awards had humorous titles — satirical. One of my favorites was called the “Oh, Shut Up!” award and usually went to some tiresome and boring windbag.

How I miss that annual article.

John Kerry or Greta would be in the running lately...

As Don Imus used to put it, “they make my hair hurt.”

Wouldn’t you love to shove these dumbass civil and human rights surveys up their arses? If they don’t like our religion, America and Canada are free countries. Nobody is keeping your whiny ass here. GO HOME!!!

And how many Canadians would scream bloody murder, if those PAID DAYS OFF were removed because they are ‘discriminatory’?

Well, no kidding. I would call it majority bias, which every country in the world exhibits.

I wonder how many First Peoples are Christians and celebrate those holidays.

As for the Hindus and Muslims and Chinese, I wouldn’t expect to move to India or Pakistan or China and have my holidays on the government calendar.

Every modern convenience available to them is a result of colonialism. These people are truly delirious.

Well said! Christmas is a traditional holiday in all Western countries, celebrated for hundreds of years. In fact, it has even become a world holiday celebrated in places like Japan, Singapore, and India. Not to mention that the merchants will be really pissed off if you try to kill Christmas.

In the end, Christ will return to divide the wheat from the chaff.

Isn’t the Sovereign of Canada, King Charles III, supposed to be Defender of the Faith?

Take it up with your fell Lord, Canadian Huiman Rights Commissioners! (of course, he might agree with them...)

The authors of this report do have a point.

Canada has been so thoroughly secularized that I found it kind of bizarre to think of any of its culture and traditions “religious” even in a minimal way.

Send the “First Peoples” back home to Kyrghizia.

Use a plane so they don’t have to walk as their ancestors did when they colonized that land. Until the whites arrived, there was no such place as “Canada”, an entirely white creation.

Canada is not an example of colonialism, there was no nation there to colonize and most whites who settled there did so with the intention of permanence, to create a nation where none existed before.

What savages were there benefited enormously from civilization and were it to be withdrawn or destroyed, the survivors would undoubtedly revert to barbarism.
