That is a true statement.
Caught the USA off guard (kind of) and Trump wasn’t going to take the hit for it.
Fauci owned it.
We’re well aware that you’re NeverTrump, Former.
Long walk.
Short plank.
Pirhana infested waters.
Yup.
This little prick needs to be fitted for an orange jumpsuit.
You still haven’t answered my question: what did Trump stand to lose by firing Fauxci?
I think he should be dumped into the ocean after it has been chummed.
Fauci is a criminal and belongs in jail for crimes against humanity.
It should be noted that in those areas with the large increases of the China virus, no colds or flu cases have been reported! /semi s
Really? Trump was d@mned if he did or didn’t in regard to Covid.
Stop flights from countries experiencing Covid pandemic? Racist.
Provide ships outside NYC to help with increased patient load (never used)? Uncaring/incompetent.
Worked with the “experts” to provide a vaccine (which the experts told him and us would work ) in record time for a pandemic (( but he never mandated these vaccines at the point of losing your job)). Failure! Fascist! Hitler! A threat to our democracy!
Etc.
An immediate impeachment by Pelozi and that one would have garnered a removal by the Senate.
2/3ds of the GOP would have wholeheartedly supported it.
“Why Trump never fired this cretin is beyond me.”
“”An immediate impeachment by Pelozi and that one would have garnered a removal by the Senate.”
2/3ds of the GOP would have wholeheartedly supported it.””
EXACTLY!
An immediate impeachment by Pelozi and that one would have garnered a removal by the Senate.
2/3ds of the GOP would have wholeheartedly supported it.
The Dems/Deep State falsely accused Trump of colluding with Russia. The GOP acquitted him.
The Rats accused Trump of abuse of power and insurrection after January 6. The GOP acquitted him.
Why would an impeachment over firing a federal employee, which is every president's prerogative, be any different?
Fauci was considered the ultimate authority on science, epidemics and vaccines at the time. Probably still is by most of the public.
It’s easy to say the vaxxes were ineffective and possibly dangerous now, that would have been a hard case to make before they were administered to the public. Expecting Trump to know those things before anyone else did is absurd.
It’s easy to look back now, after the hysteria has petered out, and think there would have been the same sort of support for Trump over firing Fauci as there was for the far more obviously phony Russia collusion hoax and the even phonier phone call hoax. That is ridiculous.
“High risk” means they want you dead on command.
“It’s easy to say the vaxxes were ineffective and possibly dangerous now, that would have been a hard case to make before they were administered to the public.”
My view (shared by many here) was that the “short cuts” and rushing to market was risky by definition—way too risky for me to take them.
It is the process that was dangerous by itself—even if the vaccines ultimately did turn out to be “safe and effective”.
