THE FCC JUST VOTED TO TAKE CONTROL OF THE INTERNET

The FCC voted today on a plan that gives the Federal government full control over the Internet. The plan passed by a 3-2 margin. A press release posted immediately after the meeting stated, in part, “Under the new rules, the Commission can investigate possible instances of discrimination of broadband access, work with companies to solve problems, facilitate mediation, and, when necessary, penalize companies for violating the rules. The FCC will review consumer complaints of digital discrimination of access through an improved consumer complaint portal and staff will meet monthly to assess trends in complaint patterns. Finally, the Commission adopted model policies and best practices that will support states, local and Tribal governments in their efforts to combat digital discrimination.”

The decision means that the Biden Administration is well on its way to implementing the plan that FCC commissioner Brendan Carr said “…reads like a planning document drawn up in the faculty lounge of a university’s Soviet Studies Department.” Commissioner Carr sent out his letter of dissent last week to warn the public about this “unlawful power grab” that “chooses central planning over free market capitalism.”

The plan is marketed as though it will prevent digital discrimination and a way to ensure equal access to broadband internet in the United States. While equal access is a component of liberty and freedom, this plan gives sweeping access and regulatory control over all aspects of the Internet business. According to the plan document, the FCC would have the power to regulate the following aspects as it relates to each Internet Service Provider:

This move by the FCC to regulate the internet is likely caused by the smaller firms providing vigorous competition to Big Tech. Google, Facebook, and other large tech firms have been censoring content for several years now. However, competitors such as Rumble and other independent platforms have been attracting those driven out by the large firms censorship. Conservatism, Inc is tolerated by the monopolist firms as comtrolled opposition, but the successors to Rush Limbaugh are outgunned by the unacceptable types so that Joe Rogan, Alex Jones, and Tucker Carlson have audiences far larger than Sean Hannity or Ben Shapiro. Big Pharma must be displeased at the proliferation of alternate medicine and the increased skepticism toward mainstream medicine such as the COVID shots. Companies like Budweiser, Target, and Disney are more vulnerable to conservative boycotts then they were 5 years ago, at a time before the monopolistic tech firms silenced conservative critics.

As a result, the Biden regime is going toward censorship through the brute force of the FCC.

The "internet" is today mostly a network of private interlinked servers.

Somebody should block this as in illegal 5th amendment taking of private property for public use without just compensation.

Wonder how much censorship of Republicans will occur next year and be excused as glitches in the new system… 🧐

How is this legal? How did the FCC decide have the authority to make this decision?

Well then, our pathetic sickening GOPe congress will earmark for the FCC to get a $300,000,000 payout just like they gave the FIB. Opinions differ greatly but the biggest problem in this nation the last generation is the uniparty congress/senate who put us where we are today.

Good Luck enforcing it. They cannot create law. Worst case: Just host offshore, they can go pound sand.

Making Internet access a right.
= = =

FCC, Federal COMMUNICATIONS Comission.

Hey, you people, we voted 3-2 that you have to stop talking, writing, waving your hands, smiling, nodding, and other forms of ‘communications’, now that WE are in charge.

Next is shutting down of your nervous system. After all, that is how the brain ‘communicates’ with your body.

From a Politico article in 2010, Court: FCC can’t regulate Internet

"A federal appeals court threw a major roadblock into the Federal Communications Commission’s Net neutrality plans as well as its broader National Broadband Plan, ruling that the agency lacks the authority to regulate the Internet."
