Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran, sharply criticized Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh for not giving sufficient advance warning of the invasion of Israel, according to Reuters.
According to the report, the criticism was expressed in a face-to-face meeting between the two in the past few weeks.
“You did not give us enough warning of these October 7th attack, and we are not intending to go to war with Israel for you,” Khamenei told Haniyeh.
He also noted that his country would give him full support in different ways but would not take an active role in the fighting. He also demanded that Haniyeh work to silence the members of Hamas who called for Iran and Hezbollah to join the war against Israel.
This constitutes another attempt to present Khamenei as having had no knowledge at all...

The Reuters article also had Hezbollah as blind-sided by the Oct 7 attack. And they are not going to join the war either.

Amazing ! They have publically cut Hamas loose.
I have been worried about a trap in Gaza orchestrated by Iran. But until they see anything different, Israel needs to pour it on in Gaza.
Iran was never going to engage Israel directly, all their bluster notwithstanding.
They have always been cowards.

I’m sure that once Hamass in Gaza is eliminated, Mosad will be targeting the billionaires in Qatar. It would not surprise me, if it were some Palis that did the deed! Gazans are seeing what Hamass has done to them, and I am sure that a number will seek revenge, especially if they receive money from Israel to do the deed!
3 to 4 separate occasions they have flown the Israeli F 35s at stall speed up and down the quadrangle and parade miles and outside of parliament. Have 35s then disappeared and we’re never seen again. That is a hell of a message.
Hezbollah doesn’t want to get too involved, but not because of the ridiculous premise of the article, that they are annoyed they weren’t in the loop of Oct 7th. The real reason os that they will face war on two fronts if they get involved. War with Israel, and war with the rest of Lebanon. Most Lebanese are sick of wars and want to get the economoy going.
You notice Iran wasn’t stepping up to take any Palestinians into their country. They hate each other.

Give Iran their due. Israel has no way to reach them. No carriers. No air space agreements. And they’re far far up a narrow waterway. If Obama hadn’t publicly exposed the airfield in Khazakhstan, or was it Azerbaijan?, we might have used that. But noooooo!
So if Iran wants to mix it in, it’ll have to be via Lebanon or Syria. The local Shiite notables in Iraq, Ali Sistani and his boy sidekick with the middle-aged paunch Muqtada alSadir, are not with Iran, and have been fighting Iran’s influence, last I heard.
That Sunni/Shia cavern of hate is hard to cross sometimes.
Even among Shia, the Quietist faction of Shia is opposed to the clergy involving itself in politics, and Ali Sistani is the standard bearer for that faction, and a rival for Khameni’s supposed hegemony over Shia.
Think you are right about the billions, but with this corrupt Administration I think Biden already made a deal and said if the supreme leader would make such a statement, he would release additional billions — which he just did. That way, the children running this government can say “see Iran will not enter, so Israel you much pause or cease fire for humanitarian reasons”. That to me is the more likely situation. And as far as giving Biden wisdom, I don’t think even God can make that happen.
You know, you would think people who keep poking at a bear would not have such vulnerable infrastructure.

I hope so. Any member of Hamas need to be exterminated - regardless of whether they’re living in luxury in Qatar or a one bedroom apartment in Buenos Aires.

Sean Hannity called Biden an "idiot" for giving $10B to Iran. Can't say as I disagree. Biden should be barred from contact with any foreign entity, because he would be sure to give away the store to the enemy. Best use of Biden would be as compost
