New York residents could face skyrocketing heating bills under the state’s new “green” policies — which may not even have a significant impact on greenhouse-gas emissions, a new study warns.
A review by the Empire Center for Public Policy says the state’s new rules will push homeowners to buy expensive electrified heat pumps while being forced to phase out their natural gas, oil and propane systems.
But even then, the new electrification policy could only have a negligible impact on greenhouse emissions while burning up homeowners’ wallets, according to the analysis, “In Cold Reality: The Cost and Challenge of Compulsory Home Electrification in New York.”

There’s a reason natural gas took over for heating in the first place. It’s so much more efficient than electric heat. That used to be common sense or something you’d have figured out through (at max) a high school education. Now it’s all about “misgendering” and kids literally have no idea about the basics of how our “stuff” arrives in the first place. Which sets the stage for this sort of backward movement towards us all freezing in the dark. To appease Mother Gaia. Except the self-appointed elite. They’ll still be in mansions and flying on private jets.
Yeah, I wouldn’t be surprised to see NYC winter blackouts as a result. It’s going to be a mess.

No one is switching their heat to electric, maybe they put them into new builds - but no one has to covert their heating system...... yet
