Twenty-six-year-old Fares Alhazmi was arrested for allegedly shooting 23-year-old Romel Carey in the head, killing him during an alleged robbery attempt on Wednesday at the Top Shelf smoke shop.
PIX 11 reported that Carey was shot around 12:20 a.m. and that he allegedly “attempted to rob the Bronx store before he was shot.
The New York Post noted that Carey had allegedly brandished a gun and “tried to rob” the Top Shelf store at 11:40 p.m. Tuesday, only to flee when Alhazmi allegedly displayed a gun of his own.
Carey is accused of returning less than an hour later and attempting to rob the store again, at which time he was shot in the head.
He died at the scene, and Alhazmi was taken into custody.

We have seen this movie too many times before. The defendant will be saddled with enormous legal fees even if he is fully exonerated and never charged with a crime. If he is charged, the expenses for the trial will bankrupt him even if he is acquitted.
"The process is the punishment", as others have said.
The "crime" is resisting criminal predation. Especially if the criminal is from one of the protected classes.
DA's and Police Chiefs who follow such policies must be removed from office. Defendants in such cases must be reimbursed for their legal expenses and lost wages.

We have a lot of work to do and the time apparently is here where WE will sacrifice our lives, if need be, to take America back and unfortunately, a good part of that effort is political, meaning . . . . we need to vote the enemy out and patriots IN. . . . . which all takes time.
Authorities would have preferred Alhazmi be shot and killed.

Looks like the warning has been completely ignored.
The crook had a gun. That fact alone justifies the man shooting him in self defense. He is innocent of all crime.
The dems crippled law enforcement, causing crime to rise. At the same time they started prosecuting innocent victims who were defending themselves and other people.
I believe they have to do all the paper work in a event like that?.

When in school to get my permit, we were told, and I quote...
If you shoot someone, you will be arrested. Period.
Weather or not you are charged will depend upon the facts involved in the shooting.
So, I will wait.....
