VinFast Auto Ltd. (the "Company" or "VinFast") (NASDAQ: VFS) today at Electrify Expo 2023, announced its aggressive plans for expansion across the U.S. with more than 70 dealer applications in hand. Updates on dealer agreements are expected to be announced in the coming months, which should allow VinFast to start distributing its EVs through 125 points of sales nationwide.
This is a step forward affirming VinFast's commitment to expanding its business network and quickly making electric vehicles accessible to more consumers. The Company is planning to distribute its electric vehicle models at hundreds of points of sales by the end of 2024, including its existing showrooms. In 2023, VinFast expects to distribute VF 8 models through its distribution network, and will continue its offerings with the VF 9, VF 6 and VF 7 when these models launch in the market.
All VinFast customers who purchase or lease VinFast electric vehicles are eligible for VinFast's aftersales policies including a 10-year/125,000-mile warranty for the vehicle and 10-year unlimited mileage for the battery under non-commercial use.
Additionally, VinFast's Parts Distribution Centers are available to fulfill orders from all regional markets including the U.S. and are ready to timely support dealers' requests. VinFast's dealers will be able to simply submit a request and then collect fulfillment periodically (monthly or quarterly) or, in urgent cases, by air. This will support the high standard of repair and maintenance services offered to VinFast customers, regardless of distribution method.
From now until year end, VinFast will conduct Pop-up Mobile Test drives across Austin, Texas, and other targeted cities and states, providing local customers with easier access to hands-on trials with VinFast EVs. Details will be shared later via VinFast's official channels.

VinFast is building a factory in America, to build these.
😎
Here is VinFast’s newest car, costing just over 20,000 (this is not the real small version, which is still a year out)
Would I buy a Vietcongmobile? No, partly for political reasons but also because I have no interest at all in EVs at this time. but I will say that I’ve seen a few on their electric SUVs on the road around San Francisco, and it’s pretty darned nice looking vehicle.
Vietnam remains a Communist country that has a long way to go to make amends for its atrocities, including the deaths of scores of thousands of Americans. VinFast can go **** itself.
Next up: Indian Tuk-Tuks.
So you’re not buying Honda, Toyota or BMW I take it?
It appears to be located in Saigon. I spent a lot of time in Saigon, way back when.
You think Japan is a communist country?
i think they killed a whole lot of Americans. Probably more than the Vietnamese. And if you have an aversion to buying products made in communist countries, good luck. Virtually every non-food item we buy comes from China.
I think a better reason not to buy Vinfast is because they’re terrible cars.

I agree.
Good point. I might go buy a Yugo, but then again, maybe not. I don’t want to get crushed beneath a produce truck. 😄😁😆😊😂
the comments on this EV company have caused deeper thinking than usually given to any battery powered junkmobile that would fit in the glove compartment of my truck. remembering well that after WW2 any given product “made in japan” was junk. virtually everything they manufactured was made of tin plated pot metal and the thinnest, cheapest steel known to man...then they got good at it. took a very, very long time before “made in Japan” was considered a sign of quality manufacturing along with some of the best metals in the world. China is trying but their communist party leaders seem to stymie their industries at every turn unless it’s military related. maybe, just maybe this particular company is looking to emulate the Japanese model to better their vehicle lines rather than the Chinese model. only time will tell if they can succeed at it. this is the VERY first time I’ve ever considered even taking a look at any EV. perhaps one day I’ll be asked “What’s in YOUR glove compartment” and I can show off my new EV...made in Viet nam and NOT ahchina. my dad always said “You never know until You find out”. as true today as ever.
Will fools rush in?
Im sure its great in the winter months and in heavy rain storms, (sarc)
“So you’re not buying Honda, Toyota or BMW I take it?”
As I may interject.
This is another brick pulled from
the American made wall. In my 68
years, I have never bought a
vehicle with a foreign brand, even
during the 80’s when domestic
manufacturers were in a mad scramble
experimenting with ways to meet Cafe
standards. (an era where American
made really produced some junk).I’ve always approached buying a vehicle
that supported American markets.
(where the profits go)
Ultimately, those profits end up at
the mother company.
Sure, Toyota builds a quality vehicle.
But ask yourself, who ultimately
benefits from the sale.
Vinfast sounds like a cheap wine emporium.
You. Is as dead as Yugoslavia.
I’m not dissing EV’s altogether. I’m just saying the hype is unrealistic. And the govt mandates and incentives are scary.
I know who DOESNT benefit. The UAW.
