This is a continuation of a war begun in 1948, and kept going through 1967, 1973, lebanon wars, intifada wars, and gaza wars.
It is better considered as the Arab War to Eradicate Israel, 1948 to present. There really hasn’t been much of a pause, politicians notwithstanding.
It will continue until israel is forced to control all of jerusalem and historic Israel. That will mean summer is nigh.
