The Montreal police force (SPVM) is reporting two Jewish schools in Montreal were hit with gunshots overnight Wednesday.
The SPVM says they received a 911 call at 8:20 a.m. regarding gunshot impacts found on the front door of a Jewish school located on Saint-Kevin Ave. in Côte-des-Neiges. Bullet casings were also located.
Authorities believe the gunshots were fired overnight. No one was in the building at the time of the shooting and no one was injured.
Shortly after at 8:50 a.m. a 911 call was made about gunshot impacts found on the front door of another Jewish school nearby on Chemin Deacon in Outremont.

SPVM officers are on the scene at both schools as the investigation is ongoing.
The incidents occurred at a time when the Montreal police is reporting a rise in hate crimes and incidents amid the Israel-Hamas war.
The SPVM reports 73 hate crimes and incidents against the Jewish community were reported between Oct. 7 and Nov. 7, 2023. The police force reports they are investigating 25 hate crimes and incidents against the Muslim community reported during the same period.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau reacted to the shootings Thursday, telling reporters in a Montreal suburb that Canadians must denounce violent antisemitism in the strongest terms.
Trudeau says this level of hate doesn’t belong in Canada.
Quebec Premier Francois Legault told reporters at the same news conference that what happened to the two schools cannot be tolerated.
WHOA! Canada has some of the strictest gun laws on the planet. Less guns less crime. What gives?

There are many Jews living in Montreal, almost 100,000. Jews have lived in Montreal for generations and most speak English, not French, as their principal language. Most ‘Quebecois’ (French Quebecers) don’t like Jews. Some buy into the stereotype of ‘wealthy English Jews’ controlling the media and money, and conclude that ‘the Jews’ are the cause of all their problems.
In the past year, True-dolt has brought in over 1 million immigrants and refugees to Canaduh. While many refugees were from Ukraine, most immigrants were from Africa and the Middle East. Many of these were Muslim and most of these were French-speaking. Where are French speaking immigrants to Canaduh likely to go? QUEBEC! And the biggest city in Quebec? MONTREAL! In addition, Quebec is the most atheistic Province in Canaduh.
Given all of this, it is sadly, not surprising that there are attacks against Jewish schools and institutions. Further, both the Montreal police and the Quebec Provincial police (Sûreté du Québec), tend to be somewhat anti-semitic, so investigations into crimes against Jewish-owned properties can be half-hearted.
Until Yeshua’s return, attacks against Jews, and then Christians, will increase.

Interestingly the first Jews in Canada arrived in the early/mid 18th century. Quebec being French. The first Jews in Quebec arrived a little later as officers with General Amherst when he took the city.
