The IDF reportedly discovered "means of warfare unknown to the security system," including new rockets found by IDF engineering forces in Gaza laboratories...
It was also revealed that during a recent raid on a Hamas training post, tunnels were reportedly discovered beneath the post. After exposing them, soldiers destroyed the shafts—which they believe had housed countless Hamas militants who prepared for extended stays underground based on extra water and oxygen supplies found there.
They tend to stay underground because they lack the means to fight in surface combat...
On Wednesday, the Channel TV news network in Israel reported that the IDF has mobilized its entire engineering corps, including reserves, for the war taking place in Gaza. Forces have reportedly destroyed 130 tunnel shafts so far and intend to target more in the coming days, with some fighters potentially going into the tunnels if necessary...
Hamas reportedly operates more than 300 miles of tunnels in the blockaded territory that it has constructed over the period of decades, according to CNBC. Many are more than 100 feet underground...
"They have communication rooms, ammunition warehouses, places to stay and everything in order to be used as a base of terrorism to harm the citizens of the State of Israel and the soldiers of the IDF...

and long overdue!!
If there were any access tunnels near a large river, it would be wonderful to bulldoze, carve a canal from the river to the access tunnel. If there are escape tunnels out of the underground complexes, the water would eventually exit that way. If not......oh well.
.
what is that?
On the left is a gun from Men in Black. Will Smith used that gun.
I don’t understand how they know which tunnels the hostages are being kept in so they aren’t killing them, but maybe they’re getting prisoners to talk.
From Men In Black.
cowards with guns killing civilians
They have a whole Ocean nearby. Before I plugged any tunnels I'd toss in wasp nests and whatever wasps like to eat.
You bought a reverberating carbonizer?
From Geebs?
Stay underground?
According to my former neighbor who was in the 1st armored wave in Gulf war I, they bulldoze buried them all alive instead of going underground and fighting. Didn’t even fire a shot of throw in explosives. All dead, roll past the new grave on the make the next one.
“Flood the tunnels”
I suppose that power lines could also be dropped into the water every once in a while, because water conducts electricity pretty well.
Seems to me that robotic/drone vehicles should lead the way at exploring the tunnel shafts.
I remember playing Descent!
Pure water is a bad conductor. But salt water? Oh yeah!
” hostages are being kept”
There are no hostages.
That’s a possibility. But hostages equate to $$$ and bargaining chips, so I tend to think there must be some, maybe not the 200+ they keep mentioning.
Heard tell the IDF has a substance they pump in that expands to fill the volume available, upon which it becomes hard as rock, presumably as part of a final process of curing, maybe activated by water? Perfectly suited for rendering a tunnel inaccessible and unusable.
Really?
