Donald Trump: Daniel Cameron Lost Because ‘He Couldn’t Alleviate the Stench of Mitch McConnell’
Breitbart ^ | 8 Nov 2023 | HANNAH BLEAU KNUDSEN

Posted on 11/08/2023 3:19:01 PM PST by Kazan

Former President Donald Trump largely blamed Republican Daniel Cameron’s gubernatorial loss in Kentucky to the attorney general’s ties to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), stating that he warned Cameron it would be a “big burden to overcome.”

###

“Daniel Cameron lost because he couldn’t alleviate the stench of Mitch McConnell. I told him early that’s a big burden to overcome,” Trump said.

“McConnell and Romney are Kryptonite for Republican Candidates,” Trump continued. “I moved him up 25 Points, but the McConnell relationship was ‘too much to bear.'”

Trump still recognized GOP victories elsewhere, congratulating Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves for his reelection, stating that he, “on the other hand, surged to a win for Governor in Mississippi after my involvement.”

Np. he endorsed him for Senate leader in January/February. That was long ago. I pay attention to action, not words. It sounds like you are the opposite. If Trump wins. McConnell will be the majority/minority leader.

Two other McConnell allies, both of which are far more connected to him now than Cameron is, won by double-digits.

Either Trump’s endorsement means something or it doesn’t. It’s become a clown nose on, clown nose off routine. No one made him endorse Cameron and then do a victory lap over it. There were other candidates to endorse if Cameron was so terrible.

Then why does he support CoRonna McRomney?

She is is handpicked person for maximum loyalty to him. In fact, I don't that he has supported anyone else most consistently since 2017, and vice versa.

It's called keeping your friends close and your enemies closer just like Obama did when he named Hillary SOS.

So you are admitting it? Trump and Hillary agreed on 99%?

Since when do you support Trump? You support the anti-Trump, Putin. Trump even said if he had been elected in 2020, he would have stopped Putin's war and nation building. So how can you support Trump?

How come Russia tried to get Hillary elected in 2016 and Biden in 2020?

Cameron seemed to be running plenty of TV ads.

Nobody under 50 watches network or cable TV.

They watch streaming services or YouTube videos.

Trump will rarely ever endorse a GOP primary candidate unless he's convinced that candidate will win.

It's a pattern that has been in place for years with him.

I saw virtually no ads for either candidate on YT. One for each back in early October, IIRC. Granted I didn’t go looking for them - the ads I saw were on local TV news (market partially in KY) time slots and football games. Streaming services, I have no clue - I avoid such except live streams from local stations or on YT during severe weather events and so on.

In any event, Cameron lost while KY Republican “establishment” candidates won easily.

Since when do you support Trump? You support the anti-Trump, Putin.

What in hell are you babbling about?

Trump has said for over a year we should be negotiating an end to the war in Ukraine and the we should wasting money on it. He and I are of one mind. Don Jr. and I even more so.

And, you just revealed why you are a Never Trumper -- because you're a neocon that loves Bush-style Republicanism and globalism.

The war in Ukraine is completely the result of our meddling in Ukraine. It's proxy war we did everything we could to make happen. It didn't happen under Trump because Trump would never have given a green light to Ukraine to go on then offensive in Donetsk and Lugansk nor would he or his administration ever have teased NATO membership for Ukraine.

So get back to post cutesy links to articles about cats or pop culture. That's your intellectual level.

So, you think Hillary and Trump agree 99% of the time?

Hillary is for building a wall and border security? For drilling for our own oil to the point we were a net exporter of oil for the first times since 1973? She was for putting judges on SCOTUS that overturned Roe and upheld the 2A? She was for cutting back billions of dollars worth of EPA regulations?

I don't think you're capable of making a coherent point.

Trump still hasn’t learned how to focus.

Still going for the clever tweets that do him no good in the end.

Means nothing as probably 1% of the electorate (if even that) knew Cameron ever worked for McConnell for a short period of time many years ago.

Trump speaks as though Cameron personally owed him the win and is now bitter and I guess wants to smear him.

If he actually believes this is why Cameron lost, it bodes very poorly for 2024. You have to have money, and then be able to use that money for marketing - not only for yourself, but to counter your opponents’ message. Trump’s campaign gave the Biden campaign free reign to control the narrative in 2020...so I guess he hasn’t learned from that. If Cameron had the money to run a full campaign to counter Beshear, the race would not have even been close. Beshear never had to answer for his far Left agenda, far Left appointees, posing with Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, vetoes, etc. as he was never put on the defensive about them. Cameron was smeared the entire election cycle going back to the early summer as a right wing extremist, and was unable to respond...and of course Beshear was able to define himself as a mainstream Kentuckian with Kentucky values - anything but.

And the election map shows the “White Kentuckians” did vote for Cameron...as they have voted for multiple other black candidates now quite a few times in prior elections (including Cameron himself...all of a sudden they didn’t want to vote for him due to his skin color?). Amazing how some people are just unashamedly racist and apparently want to believes others are racist too, and it is a good thing to vote against people based on the color of their skin...as though leftist politicians that are white govern better than black leftists and black conservatives govern worse than black leftists as well. Both racist and stupid.
