Former President Donald Trump largely blamed Republican Daniel Cameron’s gubernatorial loss in Kentucky to the attorney general’s ties to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), stating that he warned Cameron it would be a “big burden to overcome.”
###
“Daniel Cameron lost because he couldn’t alleviate the stench of Mitch McConnell. I told him early that’s a big burden to overcome,” Trump said.
“McConnell and Romney are Kryptonite for Republican Candidates,” Trump continued. “I moved him up 25 Points, but the McConnell relationship was ‘too much to bear.'”
Trump still recognized GOP victories elsewhere, congratulating Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves for his reelection, stating that he, “on the other hand, surged to a win for Governor in Mississippi after my involvement.”

Then why does he support CoRonna McRomney?
“...I wish he would chose his words a little more carefully.”
Yep , good typical dumbass white women thinking, so Let’s Go with that !

White Kentuckians see the disasters of black incompetent Mayors with crime, homelessness, obese Shaniquas twerking on cop cars and filth and didn't want that for their state.
Sooner or later the blacktivists would have gotten to Cameron, and they almost did over that one shooting in Louisville.
Don't worry, the KY legislature is still Republican so they can keep Beshear in check just like ours in WI with that mannequin Gov. Evers.
—> Trump endorsed McConnell.
Long ago. He’s been attacking him steadily for two years.
Lol. Typical Trump exaggeration. He didn’t raise Cameron 25 points. But he DID help a lot in the end. I’d say, more like 6-8 points. Still significant.
He is right though. McConnell push Cameron into the AG role.
I wish he had. I think Kelly would have fought harder and had a better chance to win. She was my pick
Spot on.
No jumping here. I also voted for DJT twice and would do so again. That said, while Trump is an excellent CEO I do not think he has very good political instincts. That is only a drawback because he has to navigate a nasty and often times effed up political landscape.
It’s never The Donald’s fault... Just ask The Donald.
I couldn’t agree more.
Gee, maybe that's why there are still long lines to see him speak while Ron DeSantis is lucky to draw a couple hundred people.
Because women think he’s dreamy.
Daniel Cameron lost because he had no money and no ground game.
Sounds like a preview of 2024 on the current track we are on.
He is so funny.
Love the Babylon Bee article too!
Well, the truth at least as I could see it from an adjacent state (and get a TV channel and radio stations from KY) is that Cameron just didn’t run a very good campaign, and made his side of it too much about fears of queers*, while NOT responding well to Beshear’s ads accusing Cameron of taking away bennies, being “anti-teachers” by supporting charter schools, and being an “extreme” anti-abortionist, etc.
*That plays well on FR, but not so much with the general electorate.
Republicans won all the other statewide races easily.
Cameron seemed to be running plenty of TV ads. His ground game I don’t know.
Bam! Circular firing squad.
So you are out on a limb there. Better than Bush I, and Bush II? Great!
Mitch has to go. He has done more to hurt us than any other person. He is a skunk of the worse kind. Propping up that POS won’t be done by me.
So unless one has the “stones” to go through the hiring process for his staff we must docilely abide his decisions? (What “stones” does it take to apply for a job??)
I suggested that he made a mistake in his endorsement in the primary. Rather than rebut that point you seem to believe that unless we’re appointed to advise Trump we are not permitted to question his choices.
