Democrats flipping the Virginia House on Tuesday sparked a flood of mockery of Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin and his presidential ambitions. voters delivered a to Gov. Glenn Youngkin's presidential aspirations on Tuesday.
On Tuesday night, Democrats maintained control of the State Senate and regained control of the House in Virginia. It was the opposite of what Youngkin wanted, which was a Republican trifecta that could help easily move his agenda through the legislature.
The legislative elections served as a test of Youngkin's leadership amid speculation he may be considering a presidential campaign in either 2024 or 2028. The results sparked a flood of mockery from both Democrats and Republicans.

Youngkin got destroyed, he is a lame duck governor in Virginia anyway as you can’t serve consecutive terms in Virginia. He will spend the next 2 years just shaking hands and waiting to veto whatever crazy comes out of the GA. Very Disappointing.
Nah, I got over the stolen election years ago when I lived in Richmond. Normal people are out-numbered by NOVA and the DC spillover. They have taken over the whole state east of Blacksburg. It used to be a nice place but it turning in to Maryland quickly.
Dumbass, Trump made sure Ronna Romney was installed against the wishes of the rank and file.
Name the perfect candidate.
Oh bull moron. An endorsement means nothing.
That’s what idiot Trump haters like you and the other losers say when the candidates he endorses loses.
See, I can post vitriol nonsense and pretend I’m smart too.
GTH
Trump supported Covid lockdowns. He gave Fauci a medal. He pushed poisonous vaccines. He bashed Kemp for opening back up.
He bashes DeSantis and defends Disney and Bud Light.
He collected hundreds of millions then spent it ALL on his lawyers. His acolytes cheered Virginia last night bc it hurt Youngkin.
What has early voting got to do with it?
Early and mail-in voting, along with ballot harvesting and ballot curing are the tools that the Democrat machine has been using to effectively steal elections. It got a lot worse in 2020, but early experiments were rolling out before then.
But like it or not, that's the new system. The one slim hope is that Republican campaigns will start making some sort of effective use of those tools to get their voters to the polls, though we'll never match the Democrats in that regard, and this really is in part a preview of next year's presidential race.
Single women vote D +70. That used to matter a lot less, but with mail-in ballots, it matters a lot: the Democrat machine has shown that it can collect those low-information votes with terrible efficiency. Republicans will never be able to fully counter that, but if they want to win, they're going to have to use every tool out there, and that includes GOTV that recognizes, and addresses the current voting systems that are actually in place, and not merely hark back to the good old days when elections might have been nominally fair.
So we become criminals and steal ballots too?
Who do you think gets prosecuted?
You can’t mail in ballots here in TN. We have no problems. Fla too.
The problem is the GOPe and their Dem lite candidates.
Also, we have early voting in TN. Only about 35% use it. We have 1 Dem House out of 9 and that us Shelby County (Memphis).
No, but the Reps need to use every available legal means to get their votes counted. And then get the laws that allow mail-in voting changed.

Florida allows mail-in and early voting. Tennessee only allows absentee voting, and for specific circumstances. It would be much better if that was the case everywhere, but most swing states allow both. I don't like it. You don't have to like it. But that is the problem that the GOP is facing, and is exactly how the Democrat machine intends to steal the election from Trump in 2024, as they did in 2020. Pretending it's not the case is no better than giving up.
I thought Fla only allowed absentee.
But you are right on the rest.
I moved to Florida from Maryland in 2021. Even though I had to change from a good-paying job to a so-so paying job*, I do not regret it.
*Pay rate appears decent, but Bidneflation made it check-to-check.
