Lamenting President Joe Biden's weakness on the world stage emboldening America's hostile enemies, former President Donald Trump made a new vow to "build a state of the art missile defense shield" to protect the homeland.
The new campaign vow drew wild cheers Saturday night at the Florida Republican Party's Freedom Summit near Orlando, Florida.
"To protect our citizens from foreign threats, I will build a state of the art missile defense shield," Trump told the crowd. "We will build that. We will build them.

note he was President for 4 years and never discussed making a new better shield.
He really has no respect for his supporters.

President Trump and President Reagan are both Leaders that use modern ideas to communicate brilliant Policy Goals and Principles.
Reagan's proposed "Star Wars" was actually a Policy and Principle of Defensive Strength, based on the certainty that the US Capitalist Free Market Economy could produce the US Missile Defense System (even though it did not yet exist), AND also fill all the civilian needs of the citizens of the United States at the same time.
Reagan himself was the author of this strategy, and it was correct.
Additionally, because Reagan was Trustworthy, he could negotiate a peaceful acceptance of this DEFENSIVE system by the Soviet Union, and he did so.
President Trump recognizes that the Technology now exists, and he has the unique ability to get it built.
Neither Reagan or Trump are Rocket Scientists, but they are both Great Leaders whose Policies are correct for their times.
