Report claims US officials want IDF to deploy smaller bombs, use better intel and send commando teams into urban zones, recommending tactics used during Iraq War’s deadliest years
American officials have advised Israel to take several steps to reduce firepower in the Gaza Strip and take a more exacting approach to its war against the Hamas terror group, pointing to its own experiences in Iraq two decades ago, according to a report Saturday.
However, Israeli officials see much of the advice as irrelevant, and the head of the Israel Defense Forces rejected the advice as liable to cause even more casualties, according to a separate Israeli report Saturday.
US officials say they have held a number of talks with Israelis in which they recommended taking actions to reduce civilian casualties, according to The New York Times, which cited officials speaking on the condition of anonymity.
Among the steps US advisers recommended was gathering more intelligence on Hamas command centers before launching strikes on them, improving their targeting of Hamas leaders, using smaller bombs against the terror group’s underground fortifications and deploying pinpoint commando squads to flush out fighters, the report said.
In meetings with Israeli leaders on Friday and Arab diplomats on Saturday, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said he had recommended steps Israel could take to reduce civilian casualties in Gaza, where the military has launched an offensive to eliminate the Hamas terror group.

This article drips with Irony. The U.S. expecting any country to take their Military Advice...after Afghanistan, Vietnam, etc.
It would be like a football team asking for advice on a defensive scheme from Alex Grinch, USC’s defensive coordinator that was fired yesterday for fielding the worst defense in division 1 football.
It’s not Israel’s job to minimize enemy casualties; it’s the enemy commander’s job.
I have a non Muslim friend who is fluent in spoken and read Arabic. I asked him to come to the bookstore with me, because I was too cheap to buy the book.
I pointed out the sura I mentioned, and a few others, plus there were some he was familiar with he wanted to check. (he had spent quite a few years in Saudi-Arabia as a civilian). I have never seen the expression that came on his face before. Absolute shock.
He had only seen true versions before too. He said, "My God, they are two different books". I remember those exact words. I don't remember the rest of his comments word for word, but he went on to say, that this explains why so many people in our government have the wrong idea about Islam.
Every non Muslim (infidel) needs to read a true translation of the Holy Quran or Koran. Then they might understand why this is happening and why it will never stop happening.

Next he will demand that Israel ask permission of the enemy they are about to annihilate, and lay out a clear road map of how they are going to attack and when, so that they don’t frighten the poor terrorists and cause them anxiety.

Blinken needs to stay out of the way. Israelis are doing just fine by themselves.
