Greetings to all at the Canteen!
To all our military men and women, past and present,
THANK YOU
for your service!
I went through a lot of different hurtful things to validate myself...nothing worked.
I was at wits end and decided the only thing left was God.
I decided, on my knees, to call on God by name.
I could have saved a lot of heartache, cause now I know that God was all i needed in the first place.
Good evening, stylin19a...some lessons come slowly, but you listened and “got it”. A Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours.
Good evening, radu, and a Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours.
Hope you had a good museum day and are now resting the feetsies.
I went into the office...so much mail! I just did it all on Thursday, but oh my goodness was there a pile and some stuff I hadn’t seen before. I got it all scanned, but will have to get it to the right places from home (I usually get it done at the office). I just ran out of time. I have places I need to be at 4pm on Saturday. LOL!
Howdy, Kathy.
Any “you” time today? I certainly hope so.
I notice a dusting of snow on the ground up there this evening. brrrrr
Well, so much for you getting any “you” time today! You didn’t need that kind of surprise at the office.
It was pretty busy at the museum today and da tootsies are ready for a rest. LOL

No “me” time today, and tomorrow isn’t looking much better so far.
It is chilly outside. Some kind of water event took place way up my street closer to Tudor. There are huge patches of thick ice!! Mostly confined to the side of the street, but protruding out in a couple places that required slowing way down to nothing to navigate over. Slick!!
And the ducks are staying attentive, but in the creek where it is “warmer” for their feetsies.
Hi Everybody!
(((HUGS)))
I got tired of planting grass every year then having the weeds kill the grass so that I fooled Mother Nature this year. I planted weeds and the grass killed ‘em. ;-)
Very clever of you!!
And a Blessed Lord’s Day, spel, to you and yours.
Shavua Tov.
Wishing all our Jewish troops, veterans, families, allies, friends, and Canteeners
a peaceful and prosperous week.
Bible in a Year:
Those who know your name trust in you.
When my cat Mickey had an eye infection, I put eye drops in his eyes daily. As soon as I placed him on the bathroom counter, he’d sit, look at me with frightened eyes, and brace himself for the spurt of liquid. “Good boy,” I’d murmur. Even though he didn’t understand what I was doing, he never jumped off, hissed, or scratched me. Instead, he would press himself closer against me—the person putting him through the ordeal. He knew he could trust me.
When David wrote Psalm 9, he’d probably already experienced much of God’s love and faithfulness. He’d turned to Him for protection from his enemies, and God had acted on his behalf (vv. 3−6). During David’s times of need, God hadn’t failed him. As a result, David came to know what He was like—He was powerful and righteous, loving and faithful. And so, David trusted Him. He knew God was trustworthy.
I’ve cared for Mickey through several illnesses since the night I found him as a tiny, starving kitten on the street. He knows he can trust me—even when I do things to him that he doesn’t understand. In a similar way, remembering God’s faithfulness to us and His character helps us trust Him when we can’t understand what He’s doing. May we continue to trust God through the difficult times in life. .
Reflect & Pray
Recall a tough situation when God showed you His love and faithfulness. What else did you learn about His character? How can this encourage you today?
Father, You’re always faithful. Help me trust You. Let difficult times draw me closer to You.
You really didn’t need to find all that mail piled in the office today. That was a big monkey wrench in the cogs.
Yikes! Now sure isn’t a good time for water events! Especially on a main drag like Tudor. Glad you were able to get through all that mess without colliding with someone.
Sounds like the ducks are anxious for suppertime. LOL
Has that silly pigeon finally taken the hint and given up?
Good evening, ML...((HUGS))...a Blessed Lord’s Day and Shavua Tov to you and yours.
How’s training? Are you learning well?
Keep the Lord’s Day in the Lord’s way.
A blessed Twenty-Second Sunday after Pentecost (Western)/Twenty-First Sunday after Pentecost (Orthodox) to all!
