“Almost immediately after trial, Juror 52 was on a radio show, being interviewed about his experience as a juror,” Mohrman explained. “He expressed happiness at being on the juror panel. Then he said he was really happy with the messages sent to the Minneapolis Police Department because during his life he had had 50 encounters with the Minneapolis police department — all of them negative. And in one of them, he had a gun pulled on him. Now again, he filled out a juror questionnaire prior to trial saying, to the best of my recollection, he was at least neutral on the Minneapolis Police Department.”

You’re one sick individual.
A good example of why “eyewitness” reports are considered unreliable and low quality evidence by forensic experts. People see what they think they are supposed to see, or they see what they want to see, or they just plain don’t know what they are seeing. Same goes for the placement of Chauvin’s knee.
“Chauvin is wearing some big pants and his hand is doing something in that big pocket.”
Time to step away from MSNBC.
Toxicology reports can’t be bought.
George was toast, from his OWN action. Nothing Chauvin could have done to change the outcome for George.
He sure could have changed his OWN outcome though.
The innocent white guy shall not go free, ever.
You’re talking about your characterization of what it looked like, but what matters is what actually happened. And now we know that kneeling on him did NOT kill Floyd, period. How upset you may feel based upon how it appeared subjectively is irrelevant.
TRUTH. Bottom line, that cop is in jail for being white.
Even if that were true, it is irrelevant. What matters is whether Chauvin’s actions placed enough pressure on Floyd’s carotid artery to cause death, or caused a neck fracture sufficient to cause death, etc. Your emotions are not a good indicator of what is true.
The autopsy is clear: none of these things occurred. In fact, Floyd exhibited no ill effects of any kind from Chauvin’s actions. Floyd killed himself through his drug overdose which weakened his heart, followed by his resisting arrest and getting himself so emotionally worked up that his heart failed.
That closes the book on these lies, and Black Lives Matter can go to hell.
Free Derek Chauvin!!!!
Free ALL political prisoners!!!!
I watched the same video and reached the same conclusion. The cop was justifiably convicted.
It does not matter how close any person is to death from pre-exiting conditions, whoever is responsible for the final act causing death is guilty of murder.
It does not matter how close any person is to death from pre-existing conditions, the final act, however trivial, which caused death will always be found guilty of 2nd degree murder.
My reading of Chauvin’s expression is pig-headedness shifting to fear. He was determined to maintain “command presence” and not yield to the crowd.
Gradually it dawned on him that Floyd was dying, and he was afraid to admit it and let his officers provide medical aid. He knew he messed up bad. Maintain command presence, control crowd. Get the body in the ambulance, hide it from the crowd.
Gross negligence, dereliction of duty, failure to render aid, maybe manslaughter.
Floyd did a number on himself with fentanyl and meth.
That's how I see it. The only thing is that I would charge him on manslaughter. 10 years in prison.
I hope I live to see the day where real justice returns to this country...if it was ever here.
But the autopsy didn’t find any contribution from Chauvin’s actions. Nothing he did injured Floyd in any way. The whole thing was a monstrous lie, but now that the truth is out those who had personal or political reasons to cheer on the original verdict are having an emotional crisis and trying to rationalize away the truth.
If you put weight on someone’s thorax, it becomes much harder for him to breathe. He has to lift that weight in order to expand his lungs, and the intercostal muscles are not designed for weightlifting.
How much weight was applied? We don’t know. Floyd was already in respiratory distress, maybe suffering from “wooden chest,” a stiffening of neck and chest muscles caused by fentanyl.
Any amount of weight on his chest was going to hurt him. Putting him prone was going to hurt him.
Chauvin wasn’t a medical professional. An initial misjudgment is understandable. 9 minutes of kneeling on a man begging, going limp, unconscious, changing color, becoming incontinent, when your fellow officer says he can’t find a pulse...that’s not excusable.
Chauvin didn’t get a fair charge or a fair trial, but he was a lousy stupid domineering incompetent cop, and they cost us all.
Watch “The greatest lie ever sold” by Candace Owens. You did not see the entire tape. You have no idea what you’re talking about dip shit.
Sadly, due to years of racial hatred, fostered by the left, the judicial system is hopelessly compromised. IDK if people recall the case of the Kenyan immigrant nurse serial killer in Texas, who murdered at least 22 people, but whose initial jury deadlocked because one juror refused to convict out of racial solidarity. As mass media messages proliferate this has become commonplace- Chauvin’s trial one among many others- including President Trump’s Georgia grand jury.
If Chauvin ever gets a fair trial, he will be exonerated, IMHO.
