I’m here to tell you, there’s not enough “funding” for mental health, although I’m not sure what more funding would do. We need medical folks who are trained and WILLING to do psychiatry. Not that many are. The ones who do are burnt to a crisp trying to deal with too many patients and not enough support. Myself being one of them. Too many Adderall and Xanax seekers to have time to really screen and take care of the truly mentally ill.

Sounds like they stabilized him with meds then discharged him with the promise he’d stay on his medication.
When he was in group therapy, each time he said something, the other patients would laugh and say, “You’re a Real Card!”

Any confirmation if he is on a boat on the river? If so and he has a night scope, that could be a real problem.
Maybe had had some of what that pilot had. Drug induced psychosis.
