The sick thrill of antisemitism has a price
I grew up in a tiny Jewish enclave on Chicago’s South Side. When I first saw New York, in the Sixties, I was awed as by no subsequent marvel of nature: stretching north from Columbus Circle, up the West Side, was a Jewish metropolis.
New York, in my lifetime, had always been a Jewish city: the rhythms, the accent, the humour always felt to me like home. Because they were home. The populace, of whatever ethnicity, was formed or noodged by Yiddishkeit, much as the Chicago of my youth was by the culture of the Irish and the Poles.
The New York Times and The New Yorker were run by Jews; they were both our Rialto and our Bible. New York Theatre, in my lifetime, had always been Jewish. The playwrights were Miller, Odets, Elmer Rice, Ben Hecht, Sidney Kingsley; and, later, Arthur Laurents, Lillian Hellman, Neil Simon, Woody Allen, Norman Mailer, Wallace Shawn, and myself.
We New York Jews have always voted for the Democrats, as their policies appealed to the immigrants and the first generation (my parents). A Fair Shake, a safety net, and unionism were manna to the newly arrived — in spite of (in both their and my lifetime) quotas and antisemitic discrimination. The immigrant Jews did well here, and voted for Franklin Roosevelt. And we are voting for him still.

“Nazis from Ukraine are in Israel stirring things up” are two quotes I’ve heard in the last two weeks.”
That doesn’t even make any sense. If someone said that to me I’d laugh right in their face and tell them I wouldn’t have believed anyone could be so mind numbingly stupid as to actually say that out loud in front of people.
Not until they actually said it anyway.

Perhaps slightly more to the right than Joe Lieberman. Check out that interview from the 18 minute mark he goes right into his thoughts about marriage and sexual promiscuity; on economics he seems to have been converted by Friedrich Hayek. He says he’s a supporter of the Tea Party. He says he listens to Hugh Hewitt and quotes Thomas Sowell and Shelby Steele on socioeconomic commentary.
Only he knows, but it’s a convincing interview - he has no overt reason to misstate his views given where he makes his money.
Unless they wise up, which I doubt will happen.
Sadly.
I asked numerous over the years-
they’re mostly no different than the avg leftist imbecile.
They believe in an alternate reality.
Even some of the more accomplished ones convinced themselves of stupidity. One has a nice Hollywood business-I get her having to get along to succeed-I don’t get deluding oneself into believing nonsense.
Simple, they planned to, all along.
Red diaper doper babies.
I've been an admirer of David Mamet, and he has been on his way to the center, if not an entire red pill, for some years now. But he has misinterpreted and overgeneralized the above quote. Jesus was not talking about all Jews, but rather that particular set of Pharisees to whom he was speaking, and who did want to imprison or kill him.
Jesus, a Jew, was calling out the Pharisees' empty ritualism and self-admiration as important men rather than having true belief and the spirit of humility conveyed to Moses directly by God on Mount Sinai.
There is no set of important officials on earth who are entirely above corruption just because of their position. Look at the Deep State.
I was on my bike, stopped to say hi when he told me that exactly. I laughed and just rode away. The world has gone nuts.

betrayed them? Democrats want them dead!
And in 2024, the Jews will betray themselves by voting Democrat.

“The more things change, the more they stay the same.”
Any Conservative who thinks the Jewish vote is going to change is a glutton for punishment. Conservatives need to hunt votes where the demographic hunting is good, not chase a made up illusion by this joker.
Yet another installment in the “How the Democrats betrayed ...” series.
That framed yellow Star of David in the above-captioned photo at the end of the article does not look like a painting. It looks like an actual printed cloth star that has been framed— the I.D. star that the Nazis compelled Jews to sew on their clothing. You can see the unevenly cut edges and slight unraveling, a loose thread, and some wrinkling of the cloth.
Apparently, according to David Mamet, the Communists need to run their own candidates again.

They say "again" but Bernie Sanders has already run twice. They might mean that he doesn't intend to run in 2024.
