Sobbing Trump codefendant Jenna Ellis flips on ex-prez, says she has ‘deep remorse’
The New York Post ^ | 10/24/2023 | Steven Nelson

A third attorney who falsely claimed the 2020 election was stolen flipped Tuesday and agreed to cooperate in the criminal case against former President Donald Trump in Georgia — saying she had “deep remorse” for her actions.

Jenna Ellis, 38, tearfully said she “failed” to do “due diligence” on claims that the election was stolen through fraud in swing states including Georgia, where President Biden beat Trump by fewer than 12,000 votes — joining former Trump attorneys Sidney Powell and Ken Chesebro in also pleading guilty.

“I believe in and I value election integrity,” she went on. “If I knew then what I know now, I would have declined to represent Donald Trump in these post-election challenges.”

Ellis concluded through tears, “For those failures of mine, your honor, I have taken responsibility already before the Colorado bar, who censured me. And I now take responsibility before this court and apologize to the people of Georgia.”

Ellis is expected to receive a sentence of 5 years of probation, $5,000 in restitution and 100 hours of community service — in exchange for having no contact with the media or codefendants and cooperating and testifying at other trials in the 19-person RICO case including Trump.

“I relied on others, including lawyers with many more years of experience than I, to provide me with true and reliable information, especially since my role involved speaking to the media and to legislators in various states,” Ellis said in a Fulton County courtroom Tuesday.

“What I did not do, but should have done, your honor, was to make sure that the facts the other lawyers alleged to be true were in fact true.

She ‘confessed’ to opening up a voting machine long after the election.

Coercion, extortion, threatening, bludgeoning.....The prosecutor (Fani) used her to try get to Trump by bringing up charges she’d have likely (has likely) not even brought against another leftist.

When you’re confronted with a leftist DA, leftist Judge and a jury demographic that is leftist, what do you do?

She is bending a knee to tyranny in the name of God. What a cowardly and stupid thing to do.

Do you really think that will matter to the DNC propaganda apparatus in the MSM?

The Court of Public Opinion will be forced fed what to think.

Flipping on someone is supposed to mean you give evidence against them this woman does not seem to have said anything accusing Donald Trump of anything she is claiming she did not double check what more senior attorneys told her.

Yes it’s separate from Trump. If it weren’t he’d be in jail

Trump is honest. He doesn’t do white collar crime. He rejects those in his employ who engage in it

People are too bigoted to accept tgat

You do what Trump does and has done. Act completely above board.

I differ. The hate and enmity by the Prosecution and the legal system of Fulton County is pretty corrupt, IMO. The ‘truth’ does not matter to them/it.

She would not plea guilty

If she doesn’t know that working for Trump you have to be completely above board then there’s something wrong

People want to pretend that trump is saying what she is saying “hey everyone else let’s me cheat, you guys are too tough”

But he doesn’t say that what he says is “I am innocent” because he is She would not plea guilty

If she doesn’t know that working for Trump you have to be completely above board then there’s something wrong

I’m disappointed in Jenna. I thought she could stand up to bogus prosecutions.

If she "flipped", doesn't the info she has supposedly given have to be truthful and provable? I highly doubt that is the case here since the Marxists are determined to get Trump at any cost, but in the end, it all comes out in the trial. Hopefully Trump's team is prepared.

Yes and I wouldn’t be surprised to see at least 18 of the 19 plead out like the first 4. Rudy may or may not as he may fall under the Presidential immunity.

Fulton County helped steal a presidential election, covered up their crimes and now are persecuting anyone they can reach who calls them out on it.

This is classic third world corruption.

This woman confessed to obtaining information illegally.

Coerced to plead lies to get away from this vicious hate filled and evil prosecution.

Everyone involved in these prosecutions needs to go to prison.

Hard to believe the judicial and legal system has been so corrupted and politicized that a lawyer representing a client that is not successful, is indicted for bringing the case. What’s next? Lawyers suing on behalf of the wrongly convicted, who lose the case are subject to indictment for instituting the suit. I think in extreme cases of malicious prosecution, immunity for prosecutors and judges should be set aside and they should be subject to being personally sued for damages.

Yup. Fanni and the Judge need to go to prison.

You can question it. You must do it in a legal way. It was the behind the scenes activities that got Powell, Ellis and Chesboro.

Such as? Explain how any of this is legit. So far as i'm concerned, Fanni and the Judge are criminals, and *THEY* need to go to prison.

And likely others. And you can’t trash a company or person with false statements.

You are now rooting for Dominion? Are you sure you wouldn't be more comfortable over at the Democrat Underground?

You would to if you had Georgia with unlimited state funds determined to destroy you. Talk is cheap, doing costs. So, either pay the legal fees or STFU.
