Sobbing Trump codefendant Jenna Ellis flips on ex-prez, says she has ‘deep remorse’
The New York Post ^ | 10/24/2023 | Steven Nelson

A third attorney who falsely claimed the 2020 election was stolen flipped Tuesday and agreed to cooperate in the criminal case against former President Donald Trump in Georgia — saying she had “deep remorse” for her actions.

Jenna Ellis, 38, tearfully said she “failed” to do “due diligence” on claims that the election was stolen through fraud in swing states including Georgia, where President Biden beat Trump by fewer than 12,000 votes — joining former Trump attorneys Sidney Powell and Ken Chesebro in also pleading guilty.

“I believe in and I value election integrity,” she went on. “If I knew then what I know now, I would have declined to represent Donald Trump in these post-election challenges.”

Ellis concluded through tears, “For those failures of mine, your honor, I have taken responsibility already before the Colorado bar, who censured me. And I now take responsibility before this court and apologize to the people of Georgia.”

Ellis is expected to receive a sentence of 5 years of probation, $5,000 in restitution and 100 hours of community service — in exchange for having no contact with the media or codefendants and cooperating and testifying at other trials in the 19-person RICO case including Trump.

“I relied on others, including lawyers with many more years of experience than I, to provide me with true and reliable information, especially since my role involved speaking to the media and to legislators in various states,” Ellis said in a Fulton County courtroom Tuesday.

“What I did not do, but should have done, your honor, was to make sure that the facts the other lawyers alleged to be true were in fact true.

There's something comical and appropriate about one lawyer blaming other lawyers for her troubles. LOL.

Yes. Dumbasses the country over think “they” are the “dominoes”.

They don’t have the intelligence to see that the “they” refers to all of us when it comes to weaponized government.

Make no mistake: the message here is that from this point forward, no election result reported by the Government-Media Complex will be allowed to be questioned no matter how preposterous (and 2020 was pretty preposterous). There will be no representation available to American citizen from henceforth.

What exactly is she being charged with? It sounds like a sham trial

Its hard when the deep-state threatens to destroy your future and bankrupt you.

The woman wanted all the prestige of appearing to play at high level politics, but had no moral fiber to deal with the reality of it.

In the end they will save themselves. They know what they said was true but they want to put their lives back together. They don’t have the means to fight an entire Government. The country we knew is long gone.

I think the pressure is too much for most people. The Democrats are vicious and want to ruin you and take away your livelihood if you don’t think like them.

“ ? It sounds like a sham trial”

As in Trump’s sham trials. That’s insulting

This woman confessed to obtaining information illegally.

The heretics are confessing their guilt after extreme and prolonged torture. Our justice system has become a politically charged den of evil.

Even General Flynn succumbed and pled guilty because they were going after his son next. The Democrats are ruthless.

That's what it takes to avoid hundreds of thousands in legal fees. It's kinda like taking a bribe for which you will never be prosecuted.

I understand why she did this. We now have political prisoners in the US and she didn’t want to be held in solitary confinement without trial for years. That’s the real problem!

Ellis bears no substantive connection to Mr. Trump and maintained only distant and tangential associations with individuals of lower rank within the Trump campaign.

Deep remorse for what? Claiming the election was stolen?

It was stolen.

And believing that is not a crime. I don’t get it.

Chesebro pled guilty to a felony charge.

“Chesebro pleaded guilty Friday to one felony count of conspiracy to commit filing false documents. Prosecutors recommended he serve five years of probation, pay restitution and complete community service, along with testifying at trial.”
