FRANKFORT, Ky. (FOX 56) — A new poll shows Gov. Andy Beshear leading in the race for governor against Attorney General Daniel Cameron, a little more than a month before election day.

A new Emerson College Polling/FOX 56 News poll asked 450 registered voters questions between Oct. 1 and 3 about the upcoming election. Emerson College found Beshear leading with 49% support in the upcoming November gubernatorial election, while a third of voters (33%) plan to support Republican Cameron.

“Governor Beshear not only holds the majority of Democratic voters’ support at 85%, but also 44% of independent voters’ support and 28% of Republican voters’ support,” Spencer Kimball, executive director of Emerson College Polling, said. “Cameron has a weaker base of support within his own party with 53%, and trails Beshear among independent voters with 25%.”

According to the poll, 5% of people plan to vote for someone else, while 13% are undecided.

Beshear has previously held high approval ratings. In August, Morning Consult Pro found him to be the fifth most-liked governor in the U.S. with an approval rating of 64%, with him having a higher approval rating among Republicans than any other Democrat governor...

“While Biden is an unpopular figure among Kentucky voters, Beshear has been able to separate himself from the president: he holds a 66% approval rating within his own party, and a 34% approval among both independent and Republican voters,” Kimball said...

While Cameron (R) is behind in this poll, a majority of Kentuckians continue to show support for Trump. The poll asked who people would vote for in a hypothetical 2024 presidential election between Trump and Biden. Trump held a 29-point lead over Biden, 55% to 26%.

Why are so many voters okay with open borders, rising crime, inflation, and war?

Because not one of these things effects them in any way, for now. Or at least they don’t think it does. And these folks are not capable of taking any kind of responsibility for anything.

Let one of them have a family member killed or victimized by an illegal. Lets see if they change their tune. However, Steinle’s(?) family stayed true to their Leftist roots even after their daughter was shot and died in her fathers arms. So, there are some true sicko’s in that world.

Hell, look at reports of some of the white liberals in Minneapolis, victims of violent crimes, that have refused to call 911 for fear that the cops will do something to the perpetrator.

Insane folks that vote, sadly.

I live here.
Beshear OWNS the teachers unions and the public employees. He has run massive ads claiming Cameron will steal their pensions. He has run massive ads claiming Cameron will outlaw abortion for women in danger of dying from pregnancy. He is running a powerful, dirty Democrat campaign. He has the name, his corrupt daddy was governor. We have a long history of corrupt Democrat governors.

Cameron is a genuine conservative and has the bonifides. He was a great AG. He is good looking, articulate, presents his side well in person.
He has run a very weak campaign, Beshear has a lot of baggage and should be kicked in the balls on a lot of issues. Not happening. Not enough ads, not forceful enough. I don’t know, but suspect McConnell has seen to it than he is woefully underfunded because McConnell hates real conservatives and I suspect he does not want Cameron as governor.

I will go to the polls and vote Cameron if I am the only one. But realistically this poll is probably (and sickeningly) accurate.

Odd..

I think the Democrats only have one seat in the House in DC.

Obviously they have 2 Republicans in the Senate.

State legislature, except for 2 cities, is overwhelmingly Republican.

Wonder how the votes are tallied come election day. Do Lexington and Frankfurt submit their numbers last, after finding out how many are needed to push the Democrat over the finish line?

I don’t care if he’s purple, he was still a terrible candidate.

He lost in a state where the Republicans dominate every state will office, except US Senate. He was a football legend in the state and still lost in a state that lives for college football.

Did you ever listen to him, terrible communication skills versus the Democrat who was a preacher who if nothing else could talk in public.

He ran against another black man and lost.

He ran as a family values candidate with multiple out of wedlock children.

He had never run for office before.

His main positive traits were, he was well known in Georgia and was endorsed by Trump, other than that, getting Trump’s endorsement is not enough in many cases in statewide general elections, he was a terrible candidate.

Yeah 450 Registered is pretty weak. If Louisiana is any indication, Dems are staying home.

He lost badly to a brain damage candidate who could not talk, that alone should tell you he was a terrible candidate.

He’s not a terrible candidate. He’s just run a really bad campaign, and had very little money to spend. He’s being outspent probably 10-1.

Also, abortion is a huge issue here. Currently, it’s completely illegal with NO exceptions. That is NOT what the people here want. The Republicans in the State houses (we have super majorities in both) have crushed any chance Cameron had by NOT moderating our laws at all. Beshear has been crushing him with adds on this

Re: Herschel Walker. His ex-wife accused him of abuse, his son talked about growing up afraid of Herschel. An ex-girlfriend accused him of domestic violence. This was all in the past, but Dems beat Herschel over the head with this.

I wish everyone could have heard him speak in person, he’s a sincere conservative who loves America. He was a good candidate if you looked at his beliefs, but he wasn’t good as far as PR, which unfortunately is about all that counts these days.

I second your opinion. Kentucky, the state that keeps reelecting the feeble and corrupt McConnell over and over again.

I don’t care if he’s purple, he was still a terrible candidate.....compared to who or what? Compared to Graham, Thune, Cornyn, Rubio, Barasso, Ernst, Wicker, Rounds, McConnell, Burr, Tim Scott, Britt, Kennedy, basically all but about 2 or 3 ‘Republicans’ in the US Senate.

He lost in a state where the Republicans dominate every state will office

Please don’t confuse the “Republicans” in every state office in Georgia with what you might think a Republican or Conservative is.

At the time, we had:

Kemp....100% bona fide POS and sell out
Duncan....100% bona fide POS and sell out
Carr....100% bona fide POS and sell out
Raffensberger....100% bona fide POS and sell out
Miller.....100% bona fide POS and sell out
Ralston....100% bona fide POS and sell out...so happy he’s gone, in more ways than one.

But the clueless voters put them there, so that’s all on them. However, as has become the norm in Georgia, these elections will go to a run-off and miraculously the Democrat will win.

Right now, Jones is the LtGov. He’s a Trump guy. And they’re working to get rid of him.

Whoever controlled those machines and ballots allowed Kemp, Carr and Raffensberger to win because they’re doing the bidding of the Left without needing direction.

As for Walker, everything you say doesn’t matter. McConnell gave Walker no support because of his relationship with Pres Trump. Warnock commercials were one constantly, so the dumb voters may have been swayed by that. So, the Republican voter in Georgia let it be known that they’re perfectly ok with 2 radical Leftists representing them in the Senate, with one of them never having held a real job.

“ He lost badly to a brain damage candidate who could not talk, that alone should tell you he was a terrible candidate.”

That is a reflection of the stupidity of Pa voters. No one with an IQ>80 could vote for a moron like Fetterman. The Pa voters like you are darn easy to manipulate.

No, I meant any “registered voter” poll, period. Those are notoriously known for being overpolled with Demonrats. Likely voters poll is closer to reality, so long as it is properly balanced. Even at that, 49% for the incumbent Demonrat in a Demonrat-leaning poll is lousy. That’s all he won with in 2019.

28% of Republicans support a guy who wants to slaughter babies in the womb?

God have mercy.

Oz didn’t lose any more than Trump lost PA in 2020. There were hundreds of thousands of fraudulent votes that doctored both races.

All those Republicans you listed in Georgia and Washington all have one thing in common, they have all won elections, Herschel Walker isn’t one of them.

A couple of questions for you.

Who would rather have on the Supreme Court, Neil Gorsuch or Merrick Garland, without McConnell who is a POS, we would have Merrick Garland as a Supreme Court Justice.

The best long-term legacy of Trump is the 3 Supreme Court Judges and all the other Federal Judges he put on the bench, all those Republicans voted for them, I doubt Rafael Warnock would have done that.

Yes, it would be fantastic to get 100% MAGA Senators, the reality is that’s not going to happen, I would take any of those Republicans you listed as a POS over the Rafael Warnocks and Jon Ossoffs of the world.

One of their new tricks the last year is to include the titles of approved officials in headlines. Trump, Hawley etc...get last names only.
