The vast majority of Israelis believe Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu should publicly accept responsibility for the staggering failures that led to Hamas’s devastating onslaught on October 7, according to an opinion poll by the Maariv newspaper published Friday.
Israel Defense Forces Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi and Shin Bet head Ronen Bar have already taken such responsibility, as have Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich.
Eighty percent of Israelis said Netanyahu, who has not made any public statements accepting responsibility, should follow suit, including 69% of those who voted for the premier’s Likud party in last year’s election, according to the survey.

NONSENSE!!!! Israel is going to flatten Hamas!!! I’m with BiBi!!!!!!!!
thanks
I think Bibi is having to deal with the same type of swamp dwellers within the intelligence community, just like Trump had to.
I blame moles and traitors within the intelligence community of both nations.
Let’s also not forget that the current ThiefinChief of the United States also shares a large shoulder of blame as his administration has been working with Iran and by extention hamas.
agree
I think Bibi has been a great leader in his day. However, his government has had a major failure and will have to accept the consequences, though not during the current emergency.
Call it; Never Again Dos.
We can all be pro-Bibi and agree that he has messed up. He will never get elected again so he'll probably resign after the war ends.
The country was set up by the bumbling leftist pacifists that preceded him...
I think he should have put together a succession plan starting a decade ago, but he got in the mindset that he was the only one who could achieve what he believe needed to be achieved. It’s sad that this nightmare will color the judgment of his whole career. A guest on Dan Senor’s podcast mentioned that Israel experienced a long pause in terrorist attacks, and then the “price” as with earthquake incidence, was “The Big One.”
I hope that, at the appropriate time, Bibi will straighforwardly acknowledge, “We screwed up,” and accept that it’s time for him to retire to private life. For the good of the country, Israel has to do a cold, hard analysis of the reasons they were blindsided, and learn, and change their systems.
Thank you for that vivid clarification. ;>))
I think Bibi did a good job (from my point of view as an American). He made one big mistake. It happens. FWIW, Pearl Harbor and 9/11 happened here.
Yes. Totally agree.
A local Militia is never a bad thing to have and individual armed citizens are the shortest path to ending serious crime.
He still had a job to do.
👍👍👍
Sounds like the same Jewish people who would vote for a Democrat in this country. They have a death wish.
