As has been pointed out so many times, there are hundreds of witnesses and a long trial awaiting these small fry. The legal expenses are bankrupting them. They have been lawfared into submission.
Spend that money on an appeal of conviction rather than on fighting these enormous costs.

I have a friend that was prosecuted for insider trading because he sold stock during the allowed window after a data breach. He had NO knowledge of the breach at the time. But there were rumors in the press and he thought it might be true.
He had a choice: face financial ruin or take a plea. He took the plea.
So, when I see these deals, I tend to think about the full weight of the govt trying to cause as much billable time as possible for opposing attorneys.
This was inevitable after The Kraken flipped.

Their plan is to make as many as possible turn on Trump and sing whatever tune they are given. The possibility of bankruptcy and jail time, caused by piling on as many charges as possible, is a big motivator.
Kenneth has already agreed to falsely testify against Trump in order to save himself from these false charges.
No such thing as “fake electors” but I understand taking a deal. No doubt the prosecutors threatened him, his family, his friends, his dog, everyone with decades in prison. No doubt all his money is gone and it’s not like a public defender is going to work hard. So take a deal knowing the deep state will destroy him.

Easy money bet that Trump will be forced to plead, be a convicted felon and maybe get out of jail time, be disqualified from several states’ ballots, and Biden, Newsom or whoever the dems want gets in EASY.
The GOP has done an incredible job at losing 2024.
Other alternatives: go into hiding, get a false identity, or fly off to the Maldives.

Followers of reality may notice that Hamas is winning and the Rats are winning. These are not good times.
This strikes me as criminalizing an instance of the natural rough & tumble nature of politics under a constitutional system like ours. This should have been handled in the political realm, not in the courts.

Note that every bit of lawfare against President Trump is not just lawfare, but the complete inability to seat an impartial jury in Fulton County, in Manhattan, and the District of Columbia.
