BREAKING NEWS: Kenneth Chesebro, alleged architect of the “fake electors” plot, has struck a plea deal with prosecutors in Fulton County, Georgia, per source familiar with the arrangement.
Chesebro is set to plead guilty to at least one felony charge as a part of the deal, the source told @lawfare.

Did this come straight from a leftist think tank?
There is no such thing as fake electors.
They were the other slate on the ballot.
His penalty isn’t clear yet, which seems strange ...

As has been pointed out so many times, there are hundreds of witnesses and a long trial awaiting these small fry. The legal expenses are bankrupting them. They have been lawfared into submission.
Spend that money on an appeal of conviction rather than on fighting these enormous costs.
As it has been pointed out so many times, the process IS the punishment.
Another coward caves to the Deep State.
Pray for President Trump
The government has unlimited funds to cover court costs. 99.99% of citizens being harassed by Democrat prosecutors to not.
The walls are closing in.
For real.
I have a friend that was prosecuted for insider trading because he sold stock during the allowed window after a data breach. He had NO knowledge of the breach at the time. But there were rumors in the press and he thought it might be true.
He had a choice: face financial ruin or take a plea. He took the plea.
So, when I see these deals, I tend to think about the full weight of the govt trying to cause as much billable time as possible for opposing attorneys.

Chesebro is a lawyer himself. If he had a spine, he’d continue to resist cooperating. There’s more at stake than just his case. I understand him wanting to save his own skin no matter the cost to our Republic, but to me he’s another AWOL deserter. IMHO.
Absolutely agree
You’re pretty brave with other people’s freedom and money.
Watching updates on the court and court actions on the trials in Atlanta/Fulton County, Georgia... it reminds me so must of the movie “Planet of the Apes”.
and I have the likely hood of the last scene in the Planet of the Apes coming true in real life of America
This was inevitable after The Kraken flipped.
Excuse me for expecting better from those who choose to serve this country and her President.
Unlike Powell he pled to a FELONY. Harvard Law grad too. How the mighty have fallen.
Because of that, he probably saw the light. And Powell’s agreement was in large part a game changer for him.
You’re right, I would be shocked if any of these keyboard warriors telling other people to continue to fight and not accept a plea deal, regardless of the financial and prison consequences, wouldn’t do the exact same thing facing similar circumstances.
Of all the people facing indictments in the Georgia case, the vast majority will end up accepting plea deals, accept their punishment and move on with life and live to fight another day.
Probably only a few at the very top will be offered a deal, Trump will be facing a small army of people who worked with him that took pleas and are now obligated to testify against him.
I’m sure her change of heart weighed heavily in his decision.
