Rep. Jack Bergman (R-MI) on electing a Speaker Pro Tempore: "I don't want this job, I don't aspire to be in this job... but I will volunteer to step up until properly relieved until we get 217 votes out of this room to elect a Speaker."
A house of cowards, happy to be voted in for the perks but not willing to do the peoples work.
Disgusting!
no thanks. I want it all to crumble into a dust pile.
Speaker pro-tem is bullcrap,
Vote on a Speaker already!
Cowards
The Republican party, even when voters win, they lose.
Same. The more dysfunction in that chamber the better off the people are.
Those voters against Jordan LOATHE us. But Jordan just wimped out, took his football full of good will, and went home.
Clean HOUSE in 2024.
If the elections ever did get thrown t ok the house I’m almost 100% certain a GOP lead house would throw it to “the winner of the popular vote”. These people are not with their constituents whatsoever. They, for the most part, don’t understand the constitution or why the provisions that exists in the bill of rights are even a thing.
I gave that man money when he ran for Senator, and I gave him money for his Representative run even though I'm not in his district.
He ran on a MAGA platform, but stabbed us all in the back.
Jordan Lived to fight another day. The Republican Party however is dead. The lies they allow to circulate about J6 will drown them
That means right now. Everyone who is voting a certain way should have primary opponents lines up already. The people have a role. Not just Trump for everything
Disappointed. James ran with the Dems on this
You can lay this squarely at the feet of House Democrats who enticed or perhaps even entrapped Matt Gaetz to move to remove the Republican Speaker of the House.
I do agree that he did that, a bit cowardly imo
“Clean HOUSE in 2024.’
Another objective without a strategy - as in clean house replacing who with whom and if you don’t know the answers you don’t have a solution to your own demand, nor a strategy toget there.
RINO.
This site ranks him #137 out of 215 Pubbie Reps for conservatism:

Yes, I am disappointed with James and still want to understand his vote. I keep wondering who already in Congress from the GOP actively supported James in his successful bid for Congress. It may have something to do with his vote.
