TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida sent 85 pallets worth of cargo to Israel on two successful plane launches under an emergency executive order from Gov. Ron DeSantis.
Departing Tuesday, DeSantis’ office said the planes will reach Israel Wednesday. The planes are carrying medical supplies, clothing, hygiene products and toys.
“With the lack of leadership in Washington, we are stepping up to help our allies in Israel who are in need of supplies and our support,” DeSantis said. “As we continue to bring back Americans who were stranded in Israel when the war began, we will also keep sending the necessary health care supplies for Israel to care for those who have been injured.”
IV kits, hospital gowns, bandages, needles, syringes, ventilators and surgical gloves are among the tens of thousands of items being sent. Supplies also include thousands of: children’s toys, sleeping bags, hygiene products and clothes.
DeSantis’ order activated multiple state agencies, including the Florida Division of Emergency Management, to help respond to the crisis in Israel by rescuing Americans.
“Thanks to the decisive action of Governor DeSantis, the Division was able to quickly coordinate with our Israeli partners and compile needed supplies,” said Kevin Guthrie, Division of Emergency Management executive director. “After working with the Israeli Consulate, medical partners and hospitals in Israel, the Division identified what items were most in need to reduce inundation and increase efficiency.”
The launch comes after the first round of Americans rescued by Florida-chartered flights arrived earlier this week, carrying nearly 300.

DeSantis is our best governor ever... Glad he’s stepping up to the plate.
bttt
DeSantis has already done more for Israel than the current President is doing
More than 300 Americans are back in the US from Israel thanks to a series of evacuation missions funded by the State of Florida and coordinated by the nonprofit Project Dynamo.
Five flights funded by the state to the tune of roughly $4 million have brought more than 300 American citizens back home and out of harm’s way since Friday.
Project Dynamo CEO Bryan Stern noted the collaboration with the State of Florida is the first time the nonprofit has ever gotten any government support.
We must step up?
I don’t recall, was Israel part of the U.S. coalition going into the Iraq war?
No, but they held back from responding to Iraq because we told them to.
Why would we ban them from being part of the coalition?
Yeah like basing Jewish troops in Saudi Arabia next to the Syrians was really ever going to happen.
Governor DeSantis lives in your head. Poor baby! 👶🏻
Congratulations to Governor DeSantis for doing the good work. Keeping Americans safe. 🇺🇸
Tell me Johnny, are you saying the U.S. did not want Israel as part of the coalition, because we were afraid it would make the Muslims/Arabs mad and hate the Jews?
They stayed out of it.
Why does everyone tip toe around the Muslims? Isn’t Israel already their sworn enemy, one who wants to murder all of them? Why play this game of, “Lets not upset the Arabs” by bringing Israel into it. Smells like caca. Have these people in Ustinkistan not said the U.S. is the big Satan because we’re the one who props up Israel?
I really hope the deep state doesn’t go after RDS for violating the Logan act....oh wait, his name isn’t a Trump so no worries...
Well, you desantis supporters are trying to make desantis into some kind of hero for signing his name on a piece of paper....
