For a while now, Bill Maher has been a sane voice of reason on the Left, which is a rarity.
Today, he had another well-reasoned discussion about anti-Semitism on the Left, and came to the conclusion it is not a small, fringe number of leftists. Watch:

It's not so much he's red-pilled as the Left has gone so far around the twist that Maher seems like a centrist.

You don't have to agree with Maher on everything. We certainly don't. What matters is we are able to have reasoned discussions about it. And Maher is one of the few people on the Left who is ideologically consistent, open to debate and persuasion, and willing to call out his side's insanity. And there's plenty of that to go around.

Anti-Israel is not necessarily anti-Semitic.
In fact, many Jews are anti-Israel and anti-Zionist.

Some are, especially among the young, but not being as pro-Netanyahu or hawkish as some are here doesn’t necessarily mean being anti-Israel or anti-Zionist. I really doubt that Schumer, Feinstein, Pritzker, Blinken, Nadler and others are literally anti-Israel.

Based upon what the Ayatollah said, the problem with Israel is that they are not Muslim. That’s why they support the violence against them, logistically, verbally, and financially. Smart people would have realized his point wasn’t one of Religion, but one of Bigotry. Frankly, it doesn’t matter which religion the people are that live there in the Middle East, if they aren’t Muslim, they can be murdered, tortured, raped, and their children tortured and murdered, as needed. Better yet, if they aren’t useful and they are the wrong sect of Muslim, the same.
The Democrats haven’t realized that by supporting the ideology of non-tolerance and Bigotry, that it will inevitably affect them. They cannot support the United States Constitution and support intellectually Bigotry and intolerance. That’s the same concepts that drove slavery and many other evils. I find these truths to be self evident, you cannot support Palestinians current cause and follow the US Constitution.

I think the problem is that Maher championed leftism for his life and now acts shocked and amazed when he got exactly what he wanted.
