The invasion of Gaza was initially planned for the weekend, but was delayed by a few days at least in part because of cloudy conditions that would have made it harder for Israeli pilots and drone operators to provide ground forces with air cover, the officers said. - NYT pic.twitter.com/K8jnqSOmmw— Faytuks News Δ (@Faytuks) October 14, 2023

“At least in part”
US has urged Israel to delay its ground operation in Gaza until safe passage for Palestinians can be secured

That most certainly would factor into planning.
That may be it.
“That most certainly would factor into planning.”

Whether it’s sunny or cloudy seems to be pretty low on the list of considerations, so it’s something else.
Not buying it.
I have a difficult time believing the stated reason, weather, but I wouldn’t count this as factual even if it came from the IDF.
This is war. Just about anything goes, including disinformation.
FWIW...this is Tel Aviv.
Blame it on the rain, yeah, yeah
Blame it on the stars, wooh! 🎶
I really hope this is fake news, seriously delaying going in cause its raining..honestly I doubt these hostages are still alive but still go in already
Eisenhower delayed D Day one day didn’t he?
“In the days leading up to D-Day, Stagg and his team forecast that weather conditions would worsen and on 4 June Eisenhower postponed the invasion by 24 hours. The decision to postpone was a difficult one, as any delay made it increasingly difficult to keep the operation a secret.”
And
Remember the weather prayer requested by the General in the movie Patton?
“ the real reason is they were talked out of it for now”
I think that’s the real reason. They don’t want to come across as giving in to international pressure.
Why would the anti-Israel NY Times say this?
Hmm.
No surprise attack here.
Hostages should pray for sunshine, I suppose.
Sounds like Bibi is getting cold feet
Well! This is weird!
I can’t find my link to Israeli weather!
Won’t let me access at the Weather Channel.
Just type in Tel Aviv on the top it shows right now party cloudy and its raining a little bit up north where Gaza is, its not pouring or anything

heck in some areas its not raining at all
The US probably told him to cancel it and BiBi listened because he needs to lick Biden’s behind in order to get support..I really hope this whole “Its raining” story is BS I really do..not like these hostages are alive anyway but still, go in and destroy Hamas already
I thought initially the longer it took to respond=worse outcome for hamas.
Now I’m wondering how much hamas evacuated with the people.
Interesting. 🤔
